College Misericordia's
chapter of the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) recently
received recognition from the national association as an official chapter. AAUP’s
mission is focused on the development of professional values and standards
for higher education and advancement of academic freedom. Active chapters of
the AAUP serve the profession at over 450 accredited colleges and
universities in the United

Rogan Elected to Executive Committee, Pennsylvania
AAUP
Joe Rogan,
President of College Misericordia's new chapter of the
American Association of University Professors (CM AAUP), was recently elected
to serve as a member of the Executive Committee of the Pennsylvania AAUP.
Rogan, who was the highest vote getter for the post, is the newest member of
the group which is affiliated with national AAUP. Pennsylvania AAUP includes
approximately 2000 members from mostly private colleges and universities
across the commonwealth. Dr. Robert Moore of St. Joseph's University is the president of
the PA AAUP.

members can join the organization’s group page for more helpful information
and member dialogue. To register for
the page, you must be a member of national AAUP and the local chapter. Simply go to the Misericordia University Portal log
in. Click on the “Groups” icon in the upper right hand corner of the main
portal homepage and click on the “CM AAUP Chapter” link. Click on the “Join Group” button and follow
the instructions provided.
