I am very glad that you are visiting our web pages, and would like to take a moment to highlight some important facts about our department. The Misericordia University Occupational Therapy Department has been providing excellent occupational therapy education for over 25 years. We have a five year entry level BS/MS program for students who are embarking on their college careers and who would like to become occupational therapists. We also have a weekend program for individuals who are already certified occupational therapy assistants or who have a bachelor’s degree in a field other than occupational therapy, and who would like to become qualified occupational therapists. Please click here for a more detailed description of all of our Occupational Therapy PROGRAMS.
For those who are already practicing occupational therapists, we have post-professional educational programs which include a post-professional pediatric certificate and a post-professional doctoral degree program.
Please take a moment to look over our web pages. As you can see, there are a variety of exciting educational, professional, and service activities occurring in our Department. We have two very active student organizations, including the Misericordia University Student Occupational Therapy Association and Pi Theta Epsilon, the Occupational Therapy honor society. We also have very experienced and qualified faculty and staff members who are eager to serve our students and who continually strive to provide excellent occupational therapy education.
We are most proud of the accomplishments of our graduates. Our alumni serve as occupational therapy leaders in clinical practice, research, professional associations, and administration. They are living proof of the success of our Misericordia University Occupational Therapy educational programs!
Thank you for visiting us. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns about our programs.
Sincerely,
Dr. Grace Fisher
