Support the MU Parents Fund

As an element of the Misericordia University Annual Fund, the Parents Fund helps raise funding that delivers flexible dollars to support unique programs and opportunities that make the MU experience so special. The Misericordia University Parents Fund is an annual effort that seeks unrestricted gifts from parents and past parents to support education at Misericordia University.

With the support of Misericordia University parents, as well as Misericordia alumni and friends, the Annual Fund provides a reliable source of immediately expendable income to:

-Develop new academic initiatives
-Update laboratory equipment
-Build library resources
-Maintain campus facilities
-Attract and retain respected faculty

The Parents Fund also works to keep parents of current students connected to the university through communication during the Phonathon. This program encourages all parents to participate in their student’s experience.

We realize that sending your child to college involves a significant financial investment. Yet, tuition pays only a fraction of the true cost of a college education. It would take an infusion of millions of dollars in endowment to replace the revenue that the Annual Fund garners each year.

Therefore, no matter their size, gifts are votes of enthusiasm and appreciation for the education that Misericordia University offers, ensuring the institution's tradition of excellence in higher education. In addition, participation from significant numbers of parents, alumni, and friends helps attract new grants from corporations and foundations.

Gifts to the Parents Fund, made as early as possible in the academic year, are immediately applied to help current students studying at Misericordia University.
