Addiitional Programming by the Ethics Institute have included:

"Ethical Perspectives on Elder Care" that was held on April 26th, 2007, at Luzerne County Community College's Educational Conference Center.

Twelve informative lectures on a wide spectrum of topics were presented by experts in geriatric care.

Lecturers' topics included dementia, elder abuse, cultural diversity, technology, spiritual care, moral dilemmas and legal issues that arise in the care of the elderly.


The Geisinger Health System and the Ethics Institute of Northeastern PA at Misericordia University, Presented:

"Choices at the End of Life: Facing Medical & Ethical Dilemmas", April 27th, 2006, at East Mountain Inn, Wilkes Barre, PA.


Jane Randel, Vice President, Corporate Communications, Liz Claiborne, Inc., presented the program, "Is there a Role for Business in Addressing Domestic Violence?", November 9th, 2005.

Randel who is director of Liz Claiborne's award-winning, cause marketing program aimed at generating awareness, educating the public, and preventing violence against women.

Jane Randel spoke on how employers have unique opportunties to provide tools, assistance, and resources to employees to prevent and remedy situations causing emotional and phycical violence in the home.
