Program Faculty and Staff

The Department Chair , Sheryl E. Goss, MS, RT(R)(S), RDMS, RDCS, RVT, FSDMS has 30+ years of experience in the profession. She has performed a variety of sonographic studies to include general sonography, vascular and both adult and pediatric echocardiography as well as supervised a busy department for several years of her career. She remains actively involved in both local and national professional groups and professional accreditation organizations. She was a member of the National Education Curriculum Taskforce, the first curriculum to be designed to include all ultrasound specialties. She served as Chair and Editor-in-chief for the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS) National Certification Examination Review series. Currently she serves on the SDMS Board of Directors as secretary and the Joint Review Committee for Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography Board of Directors as Chair-elect.

Clinical Coordinator, Karen Klimas, B.S.R.T. (R), RDMS has 20+ years experience in the profession. She has worked in both the hospital and outpatient settings with experience in abdominal and OB/GYN. Her career provided for specialization in the OB/GYN arena. She is a member of both local and national professional societies. She is also an adjunct instructor for Cross-Sectional Anatomy and Interventional Sonography courses in the certificate program.

Specialty Adjunct Instructors

Lisa Allen, BS, RDMS, RDCS, RVT is the Ultrasound Coordinator for a large perinatology practice with a specialization in fetal echocardiography. She is an instructor in the Advanced Fetal and Pediatric Sonography Course.

Lisa Capizzi, MS, RT (R) (M), RDMS, RVT is the Clinical Manager for a large sonography department. With an extensive background in both mammography and breast sonography, she is an instructor in the Breast Sonography Course.

Salvatore LaRusso, M.Ed., RT, RDMS is manager of sonography at a teaching hospital. With his experience and expertise in neurosonography, he brings his experience to the Advanced Fetal and Pediatric Course.

Maria Menta, BS, RT, RDMS, RVT is a clinical sonographers with specialization in general and vascular sonography. Maria is the lab instructor for Introduction to Sonography lab course, abdominal labs and vascular lab.

Lindsey Solovey, BS, RDMS is manager of diagnostic radiology, sonography and vascular for a healthcare network. Lindsey is the instructor for Introduction to Sonography course and Pelvic Sonography course and corresponding lab.

Jessica Tornambe, BSRT, RDMS is a clinical sonographers in a general sonography department. She is a simulated lab instructor for the certificate level students.
