2013 Coordinators:

Arthur Dowell
is a senior communications major and a returning orientation coordinator from Berwick, Pa. Heavily involved with his major, Arthur serves as Cougar Radio station manager, The Highlander’s web editor, and does a weekly sports show with MCN 87. Outside of communications, he is a coordinator of Peer Advocates, a member of the Campus Ministry team, and takes part in Substance Abuse Peer Educators. In his spare time, Arthur enjoys everything to do with sports.

Shannon Joyce is a Senior Government, Law, and National Security major from Avoca, Pennsylvania. Shannon is quite involved on campus; she is a member of Campus Peer Associates, a Student Coordinator for Sexual Assault Facts & Education Student Educators, a member of Substance Abuse Peer Educators, and serves as Spring Break Habitat for Humanity Student Coordinator. Shannon also works with Student Activities for Lake Street Elite Committee, which is the school spirit committee, and Homecoming Committee. In her free time she likes to go to the dance studio to practice her Irish Step dancing.

 Robert Romagnolo is a first time Orientation Coordinator and Junior Psychology major raised in Cresco, Pennsylvania, about ten minutes from Mt. Pocono. He is part of the Psychology club and works with Student Activities as well as with Residence Life as a Desk Assistant in Alumnae/Mcgowan. In his free time he enjoys fencing as well as numerous outdoor activities including hiking, fishing and kayaking. He enjoys being with his friends and family, and loves learning how to cook new recipes with his parents.

 Zachary Sabaday is a first time orientation coordinator from Pottsville, PA. He is a sophomore biology major and a member of the campus’s Peer Advocate team as well as a member of both the Sexual Assault Facts & Education and Substance Abuse Peer Educators team. He is a member of clubs such as AMSA, RHA, Relay for Life, Biology, and the Multicultural Club. In his free time he enjoys going to the gym, nature walks, and swimming. His goals for next year are to continue taking courses in the biology curriculum while helping contribute to making Misericordia a safe and enjoyable campus for all.

Darcy Brodmerkel, Director
Darcy is the Director of Student Activities as well as the Addictions Counselor. She is beginning her 18th year at Misericordia and is involved in many organizations throughout the community. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and is an avid golfer.
