Programs

The Physical Therapy Department offers three programs: the entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy program, the transition Doctor of Physical Therapy program and the Master of Science in Physical Therapy program.

Entry-Level Doctor of Physical Therapy Program

The entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program awards a first professional degree. Applicants to this program are not physical therapists, and program graduates are prepared for licensure as physical therapists. All freshman applications are for this program.

Transition Doctor of Physical Therapy Program

The transition Doctor of Physical Therapy (tDPT) program awards a post-professional degree. Applicants to this program are licensed physical therapists who receive a DPT upon completion of the program.

Master of Science in Physical Therapy Program

This program is being replaced by the Entry-Level Doctor of Physical Therapy program. The last class of students to progress through the Master of Science in Physical Therapy (MSPT) program were accepted as freshmen for Fall 2007.
