Parking for Commencement is available on campus but spaces fill quickly. It is recommended that guests arrive early for the best parking.

In recent years, all available campus spaces have been filled due to record crowds.
We provide off-campus parking and a shuttle service to accommodate the large number of guests to our campus. When the campus parking lots are full, Safety Officers will close all entrances, and we will provide shuttle service to/from campus from our auxiliary parking lot which is located at the College of Health Science Building on Lake Street. Officers will be stationed there as well. The shuttle drop off point will be the North Gate Lot near the tennis courts.
Limited handicapped parking is available in the rear of our Anderson Center. Safety Officers will be sensitive to the special needs of handicapped persons and will make every effort to provide for parking and assistance. For more information on handicapped parking, please call 570-674-6238.
Please note that the Anderson Center is open on Commencement day at 10 a.m. for Mass that begins at 10:30 a.m. The Anderson Center closes immediately after Mass (noon) and opens for guests again at 12:45 p.m. No guests or personal items (including jackets or blankets on chairs) can remain in the Anderson Center while the building is closed. Guests are encouraged to register and enjoy lunch on campus during that time.
Should you be concerned about traffic arriving at Misericordia, a list of alternate routes is listed below. You can also click here to customize your route and get turn-by-turn directions (through Google Maps)
Immediately Following the Commencement Ceremony:   the area directly in front of the Anderson Center will be cordoned off to permit pedestrian traffic only.

This restriction is an effort to accommodate for graduates and their families as they exit the building to enjoy a photo opportunity, share some time with friends and reflect on experiences at Misericordia University. Please note that this temporary pedestrian-only area will remain in effect for a limited period of time to allow for safe exit of attendees from the building. During this restricted-traffic time frame, vehicles parked to the West of the Anderson Center (Tennis court area and North Gate Lot) must exit through the North Entrance gate. Vehicles parked to the East of the Anderson Center (near McHale Hall, Gildea Hall and other on-campus lots) must exit through Townhouse Road, Main Entrance Arch or Mercy Center Complex access road. Standard on-campus traffic patterns will be suspended as necessary during this time period to allow for exiting vehicles. Safety Officers will be stationed in key locations to assist. Emergency Vehicles will be allowed access to this area if required.
