ParenteBeard sponsors immigration law and diversity program on campus|
The ParenteBeard-sponsored program featured Sal Savatteri, Jr., Esq., of the Savatteri Law Firm, P.C., Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and Robert D. Schaub, Esq., and James P. Valentine, Esq., of Rosenn Jenkins & Greenwald, LLP, Attorneys at Law, as the guest speakers.
The discussion and presentations provided attendees, including Misericordia University accounting majors and members of various professionals from the regional community, an overview of the United States immigration system and how recruiting and maintaining a diverse professional and student academic community can be an asset to the institution. The program also covered the key employment law issues facing a diverse academic institution. After the program, the Misericordia University Accounting Association, along with representatives of ParenteBeard, acknowledged the 125th anniversary of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
