Mission Statement

The Insalaco Center for Career Development is a comprehensive career center that will assist the students and alumni of Misericordia University to assess, develop, and implement goals for the constantly evolving professional world. The Insalaco Center will foster a cooperative process in which students, alumni, faculty, staff, employers, and community organizations transform educational achievements into a lifetime of career satisfaction.

A team of Misericordia University medical imaging majors captured first place in the annual Pennsylvania Society of Radiologic Technologists Technibowl competition that was held during the spring conference and business meeting in Caraopolis, Pa. Misericordia University juniors Allison McIntyre, Ashland, Pa., and Kaitlin Fink, Catawissa, Pa., earned first place in the academic competition where students compete to answer questions in the field of medical imaging. McIntyre, the daughter of Cathy Canfield and Michael McIntyre of Ashland, and Fink, the daughter of Joel and Deborah Fink of Catawissa, captured the title for Misericordia University in sudden death after answering 30 questions that addressed radiation protection, equipment operation, imaging production and evaluation, radiographic procedures, and patient care and education.
