The Marketing Communications Department is dedicated to the service, support and ethical advancement of Misericordia University. We will promote the mission of the University, its strategic goals and the values of its founders and sponsors, the Religious Sisters of Mercy, through:

- accurate, consistent, and creative publicity, advertising and other marketing methods.

- serving as a resource and consultant to University entities on matters of communication.

- integrating key messages throughout all service lines and fostering new lines of communication between University entities.

- serving as a liaison to external audiences to facilitate communication about the University.

- monitoring and evaluating the university's internal and external environments.

The Marketing Communications Department is the primary source for media relations to promote University-based events and accomplishments. The department also is responsible for the effective strategic and tactical planning for the marketing of new and existing programs based on the University's overall Strategic Plan. Another key section of the Marketing Department is the Web Services group that is responsible for specific content on the web site as well as supporting dozens of users across campus. Web services manages social media and electronic outreach on behalf of the Alumni Relations and Development offices as well.

The department's offices are located on the third floor of Walsh Hall. Our normal hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The department is on-call to answer questions from the news media and to respond to emergencies 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Marketing Communications Staff

The Marketing Communications Department at Misericordia University is multifaceted team with several areas of focus.

Enrollment Marketing Manager

Primary contact for all marketing efforts. Provides administrative oversight for multiple functions.

Steve Filipiak
Web Content Coordinator

Organizes, writes and edits content for the University's Web site, online projects, and related sites. Also maintains a partnership with the Information Technology Department.

Paul Krzywicki
Manager of Public Relations and Publications

Coordinates University-wide public relations and marketing projects. Serves as editor of campus Magazine, Misericordia Today. Also serves as a key contact for the news media.

David Pasquini
Enrollment Marketing Coordinator

Primary contact for marketing all credit bearing programs. Serves as marketing liaison with Admissions office, Center for Adult and Continuing Education, and faculty.

Marianne Puhalla
Staff Writer

Assistance with public relations, University publications, and advertising copywriting.

Holly Ference
Web Content Graduate Assistant

Provides support and assistance to the Web Content Coordinator, including social media and web content management, e-marketing, training end users, and other related administrative tasks for the department.
