Post-Master's Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate
A post-master's certificate program in the Family Nurse Practitioner clinical specialization is available to applicants who already have earned a master's degree in nursing. This program prepares nurse practitioner to function as principal providers of primary health care and to assume responsibility of promoting, maintaining, and restoring the health of individuals and families.
Post-Master's Family Nurse Practitioner students must complete the requisite number of clinical hours necessary for licensure eligibility by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. The program is offered on a full time or a part-time basis. Applicants can apply appropriate course credits from their master's degree to the post-master's certificate program with the approval of the Director of Graduate Nursing Programs.
