Student Helpdesk

Misericordia University provides all students with a technology help desk whose mission is to provide help and support to students with their technology issues. The helpdesk technicians are Dell Certified and can perform all warranty work on Dell Systems.

Issues reported to the student helpdesk are handled on a first come first serve basis. Issues are resolved as quickly as possible and in most cases within one business day. The Helpdesk addresses computer, cellular phone, myMU, email, Internet, and television issues. First line support of Blackboard is provided as is escalation to the online learning services department.

The physical helpdesk is located on the ground floor or Mercy Hall in room 25. This location provides all students with drop-off/pick-up location where a student technology needs can be addressed. This physical helpdesk for students is open, during the Spring and Fall academic semesters: Monday through Thursday 9:00am – 8:30pm, Friday 9:00am – 6:30pm, Saturday 11:00am – 4:00pm, and Sunday noon to 4Pm. Summer hours of operation for the I.T. Student Helpdesk are announced via myMU at the end of the Spring Semester. The helpdesk is staff by mainly student workers so hours maybe effected. Students are always welcome to contract the student helpdesk by calling 570-674-8087.

Students are provided the privilege of internet and network connectivity while they remain a current student of Misericordia University. The students may access the network/Internet via wireless and/or wired connections. The privilege of access for students is governed by several University policies as well as specific IT policies, procedures and guidelines, which are put in place to ensure that IT meets the needs of all participants of the campus network.
