 Even though Alumnae is a residence hall, just about every student finds their way here before long, because the basement level of the building contains the Learning Resource Center (LRC). The LRC provides academic and personal support services, taking a holistic approach in all its activities and programming. It's a place where students develop their skills to master their studies, and get the help and support they need. In the LRC you can find ACT 101, a PA Department of Education program that provides support services, and leadership and cultural development to qualified students. The LRC also offers the Bridge program to help selected students make the transition to college, tutorial and academic support, personal counseling, academic intervention, leadership and peer support programs, and runs the First Year Experience and Choice Program for undeclared students.
 The first floor has a large lounge area that is frequented by both resident and commuter students. It has a kitchen with a refrigerator and microwave, and lots of space to sit around and study between classes. The center of the building is an open courtyard, so even the inside rooms have a view.
The upper floors have traditional double rooms, as well as some singles. Room dimensions in Alumnae are 9'6'' x 16'. Like the other residence halls, Alumnae contains kitchenettes with supplies, coin-operated laundry facilities, vending machines, study and TV recreational lounges. Each room includes twin sized beds, closets, dressers, desks, desk chairs, mirrors, cable TV, drapery, sink, vanity, and lots of other features.
