If you are entering the college as a freshman, you are likely to spend your first year on campus in McHale Hall, like I did. McHale is a traditional dormitory-style facility, housing both men and women. It's close to classrooms, athletic and recreation facilities, and the Student Center.
The ground floor was renovated in the summer of 2005 to add space for 27 additional students. This floor also has Fireside Lounge, which usually hosts meetings and other campus events. The upper three floors house both men and women. Rooms are air-conditioned and elevator accessible. Each room has a large closet, ample drawer space, phone, desk, and a sink. Public payphones exist on each floor. Separate men's and women's bathroom and shower facilities are located on each floor. McHale, like all the other residential areas, is led by a full-time professional Residence Hall Director and has student Resident Assistants on every floor. McHale provides housing in standard double rooms with common area bathrooms. The hall includes conveniences such as a lounge with a television, kitchenette and a game room located on the ground floor. Room dimensions in McHale are 10' x 17'. | |
