Mercy Heritage Celebration 2020

The Misericordia University community will celebrate the kickoff to Mercy Heritage Week!  *With apologies and consistent with MU COVID-19 policies, guests of the university will not be permitted.

Weeklong Exhibit: September 21 - 25

Mercy's Response Across the Ages*
9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Insalaco Hall Concourse

This exhibit tells the story of how the Sisters of Mercy and their partners responded to difficult times throughout history from Ireland to Dallas, PA. All Misericordia University community members are invited to view this historical account of compassionate response.

Tuesday, September 22

Words of Hope and Inspiration*

Invitation to the Misericordia University community to sign messages of hope and inspiration for each other and our community during this difficult and unsettling time.  Mercy Charism boards will be placed around campus (Mercy Hall Rotunda, Banks Student Life Center Lobby, and Passan Hall) during the following times:

8:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
4:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Misericordia Mercy Associates will collect donations for local agencies. Watch for details.

Virtual Service Fair
10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

MU students, staff, and faculty are invited to join us for the virtual service fair taking place on Instagram! We will be posting information throughout the day on service opportunities at some amazing local agencies. Find the virtual service fair @mu_servicelearning or follow #muvirtualservicefair.

Mercy Day Prayer Service
7:00 p.m.

In the spirit of Catherine McAuley and the Sisters of Mercy, the campus community is invited to come together virtually to pray for each other and the needs of those in our lives, society, and the world, especially during this time when there are so many changes and challenges. The Zoom link is shared on the portal for all who wish to join in this special time.

Thank You Cards to MU Alumni Healthcare Workers
11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Outside of Banks Student Life Center

Students, staff and faculty are invited to stop by to sign cards for alumni healthcare workers to show their appreciation.
