Opening Doors:  Creating Places of Welcome Competition

Everyone in our Mercy community is encouraged to decorate their door and create a place of welcome. Click on this link to learn how to participate in our community competition! Deadline to submit the picture of your decorated door is September 22 at 4:30 p.m. https://www.misericordia.edu/openingdoors

The pandemic, which has kept so many apart from loved ones, makes us more mindful of Catherine McAuley’s call to continue a legacy and commitment to hospitality. What doors can we open this year on Mercy Day? Are they doors opened in hospitality? Are they doors open to new perspectives? Are they doors to our hearts, calling us to deeper service or engagement?

This Mercy Day, let us create places of welcome—in thanks, in prayer, in celebration, and in Mercy.
