Message from Daniel J. Myers, Ph.D.
President of Misericordia University
June 2024
Dear Web Visitor:
On behalf of our entire campus community, it is my sincere pleasure to welcome you to the Misericordia University web site. I hope you will spend time online, and eventually in person, getting to know more about our amazing campus, students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
As we celebrate our 100th anniversary in 2024, Misericordia University is alive with activity, innovation, and progress. In the past two years, we've introduced new academic programs including certified financial planning, data science, supply chain management, general science for teachers, criminology,
A new athletic dome opened in January as well as a multi-million dollar project for newly renovated space for our occupational therapy and physical therapy programs. Intercollegiate NCAA men's ice hockey begins for us in fall 2024 along with men's and women's wrestling and stunt. In June, we celebrated our baseball team winning the national championship!
Owing in part to its size, Misericordia University offers a highly personal experience and extensive campus resources and facilities for students. Our students learn how to confront challenges and persist in their education. One of the attributes that attracted me to Misericordia is our exceptional record of student retention and graduation rates. Students thrive and succeed at Misericordia—we are exceptionally proud of that record and of all the effort that makes it happen. We are a true community, a community realized, that supports and challenges everyone to be their best.
I am privileged to be a part of this new era as Mercy thrives on campus. I invite you to join us as a student, donor, friend, or visitor. Connect with our university on social media or follow me online on my journey as president via the links below. I even have a new podcast, Higher Edification, that I think you would find interesting. Thank you for your consideration, and I hope to see you soon!
