Students and faculty from Misericordia University’s speech-language pathology program recently participated in an interdisciplinary service-learning trip to Belize, where they provided therapy services and educational training to underserved communities.

Misericordia University faculty members recently shared their innovative research at the 9th International Conference on Human Intelligent Systems Integration (IHSI 2026): Disruptive and Innovative Technologies, held February 11–13, 2026, at the Università di Firenze in Florence, Italy.

Misericordia University recently received a $10,000 contribution from Fidelity Bank through the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program, helping to support the University’s Speech-Language Pathology Clinic and its services for children in kindergarten through third grade across the region.

The Robert H. Spitz Foundation recently awarded a $10,000 grant to the Ruth Matthews Bourger Women with Children Program Emergency Fund at Misericordia University.  The award, administered through the Scranton Area Community Foundation, is designated to the Bourger program’s emergency fund.

Misericordia University and the Dallas Township Police Department have partnered to launch the Blue Envelope Program, a community initiative designed to improve safety and communication during traffic stops involving autistic and neurodiverse drivers.
