Students from both universities will collaborate to put the client information together and plan management. In the simulation, XU will be the transferring facility and Misericordia University will be the receiving facility.

The President of the ASL club provided the resource to learn the basic signs relevant to each discipline. Then, students worked in breakout sessions to learn and practice signs both within their discipline and outside their discipline. Dementia Care: The Role of Pharm D & OT |

Each group of students engaged in presentations and discussions via Zoom exploring disciplinary roles and responsibilities when working with individuals with dementia across the care continuum as well as the medications that are frequently utilized with this population. The students also problem solved strategies to promote IP teamwork to maximize effective and quality care.

October 7, 2021 – Movie Night “Alive Inside”
This event is designed as a student social activity (with snacks) and open to all students. The documentary follows social worker Dan Cohen, founder of the nonprofit organization Music & Memory, as he fights within the health-care system to demonstrate music's ability to combat memory loss and restore a deep sense of self to those who live with Alzheimer’s.

HEALTH PROFESSIONS WEEK : November 9, 2020 Health Professions Week for high school students interested in pursuing a career in a health science , The entire committee worked with the admissions and marketing departments to produce 2-3 minute tic toc videos of students with fun information and a 10 minute video with faculty and students explaining academic information for each program.

Kiel Eigen Presentation
Kiel Eigen is a resident of Old Forge, PA who sustained a C5/C6 vertebrae injury in 2006 while playing in his first freshman football game. He received extensive medical care over many years and still graduated on time with his class. He walked at commencement and received his diploma from Old Forge and King’s College. He is a spokesperson for Quantum Rehab and encourages others to live their life to the fullest regardless of their circumstances . Kiel’s presentation focused on his personal experience with rehabilitation and his interactions with various health care professionals.
