MU typically likes to see students with a history of proven success in the classroom with a minimum high school grade point average of 2.5. Minimum *SAT requirement is typically an 850 (Math + Critical Reading), but other factors can be taken into consideration. A number of programs have requirements for direct entry that are higher than university minimums. We advise checking the admission requirements for your program of interest within its designated section of the website. Misericordia offers merit-based scholarships for academics as well as community involvement, and need-based awards which can total well over $20,000 per year for qualified students. Visit our Financial Aid page to learn more.

The Ruth Matthews Bourger Women with Children Program invites you to join us in celebrating our 25th year at Misericordia University with participation in our annual Virtual Holiday Tea. As we continue to grow with the addition of a fourth WWC home, Anne's House, we remain committed to breaking the intergenerational cycle of poverty through college degrees and creating a legacy of academic excellence: two generations at a time. Holding true to our mission, and in the tradition of foundress, Sister Catherine McAuley and the Sisters of Mercy, we remain steadfast in our commitment to lifting single mothers and their children from poverty through the attainment of college degrees. And as we provide safe, supportive home environments for each family in response to such adversity, we continue to witness the successful graduation of our women with children families every year.
Please join us in participating in our annual Virtual Holiday Tea, as support for our program ensures that we will continue to serve our communities' most vulnerable women and children. Then, during this holiday season , and in the spirit of Sister Catherine McAuley, may you enjoy a comfortable cup of tea while reflecting on how impactful your support is in truly changing our families' lives for the better.
