Admissions FAQ's

Admissions Requirements

*Misericordia University has announced that it will continue test-blind admission review for the first-year undergraduate class entering through the 2027-2028 year in all academic programs. Students who have taken the SAT or ACT are not required to submit their scores. Test scores will not be used in determining admission or academic scholarship awards.

The minimum criteria for admission into the biology program as a freshman student are:

  • Class rank in the top half of the high school graduating class and/or a cumulative 2.75 grade point average
  • Minimum SAT score of 500 in Math and a combined score of 1000 (Critical Reading and Math) if SAT taken prior to March 5, 2016; or a minimum 570 in Math and a combined SAT score of 1080 (Critical Reading and Math) if SAT taken after March 5, 2016. ACT results may also be presented reflecting a minimum 21 composite score in lieu of the SAT.

Please note the above listed requirements are general, and that each application is looked at thoroughly, taking into account individual grades, academic rigor, and other factors.
