Business Professionals Association (BPA)
The Business Professionals Association (BPA) at Misericordia aims to prepare students for successful careers as business professionals while fostering a strong, global network of MU business graduates. The BPA provides students with valuable experiences, information, and programs to promote business as a dynamic profession and to serve as a bridge from their academic journey to the professional business world. Throughout networking opportunities, experiential learning, community engagement, fundraising, and more, there is a role for every student to get involved in the College of Business' Business Professionals Association!
The BPA is responsible for managing Misericordia University's Cougar Candy Company & Future Business Leaders of American (FBLA) programs.

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)
Students from Misericordia’s new Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter win honors in FBLA State and National competition.
Students Kaitlyn Marley and Remember Konkle competed at the PA FBLA Collegiate State Leadership Conference in Harrisburg in April 2024, and successfully advanced to nationals in Orlando, Florida. Kaitlyn Marley placed first in Pennsylvania for her Foundations of Communication test, and second in the nation at nationals. Kaitlyn Marley and Remember Konkle placed second in the state for their Entrepreneurship Pitch Competition event, where they presented a locking mailbox idea. Their hard work earned them a spot to compete at the FBLA Collegiate National Leadership Conference in June, 2024 where they placed ninth in the nation in the Entrepreneurship Pitch competition.

John Matlock '27
Meet John Matlock '27, a Business Administration major specializing in Sport Management. John is interning with the GOALS Foundation for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. He helps to create events for the kids to enjoy during the games, and works on other events as well. In addition, John supports efforts to recognize shareholders and tests some of the fan games played during intermission to ensure their safety.
Eli Stoute '27
Meet Eli Stoute '27, a Sport Management major interning with MU's Athletics Department. Eli coordinates game-day operations for fall varsity programs that includes facility setup, logistics, and post-event breakdown, ensuring on-time starts and safety compliance. He also streamlines communications among coaches, officials, game staff, and facilities. In addition, he manages radios and run-of-show to keep events on schedule and resolve issues in real time. Eli is also a member of MU's Men's Basketball Team.
Nadia Peimany '26
Meet Nadia Peimany '26, a Business Administration major specializing in Marketing. Nadia is interning with MU's Marketing and Public Relations Team where she'll put her photography and other skills to good use covering a variety of campus programs and events. Nadia also finds time to contribute to student-run newspaper, The Highlander, and is active in the Business Professionals Association (BPA). You can also see Nadia on campus occasionally selling candy for the Cougar Candy Company.
Remember Konkle '25
Say Hello to Remember Konkle '25, a Business Administration major working as a Communications Intern at the Fellowship Church. Here, Remember is learning how to craft clear, compelling, and mission-aligned messaging that reaches both the church and the wider community. This experience is not only about professional development, but ministry growth. Through regular mentorship and reflection, Remember is also learning how communication supports discipleship and helps share the mission of the church in meaningful ways.
Lyndsey Hornlein '25
Meet Lyndsey Hornlein '25, a Business Administration major specializing in Marketing.
Lyndsey is interning with Arthrex Lancaster, where she assists the medical education team during surgical labs and shadows medical device specialists in the operating room. She also helps the operating team with behind the scenes work. This experience is helping Lyndsey to reach her goal to work in medical sales after graduation this fall.
Michael Flax '26
Meet Michael Flax '26, a Business Administration major specializing in Healthcare Administration. Michael spent his summer interning at Make-A-Wish NJ, helping to create life-changing experiences for wish kids and their families. In addition to his many administrative tasks, Michael recently helped to set up a large charity golf outing that raised over 1 million dollars in support of several charities, including Make-A-Wish. We applaud Michael for his service to others and for helping to show children that wishes really do come true.
Jennifer Milistis '26
Say hello to Jennifer Milistis '26, an Accounting major with a minor in Management Information Systems. She is interning with Historic Bethlehem Museums and Sites, Inc. (HBMS) in Bethlehem, PA as a Finance/Accounting Intern.
Jennifer recently assisted in the finance and accounting process and reporting for HBMS's Blueberry Festival. She is a member of Misericordia's Softball Team, a Peer Tutor on campus, and Mercy Leader. Jennifer was also recently named MU's Tutor of the Year!
Evan Wittig '27
Meet Evan Wittig '27, a Business Administration major, specializing in Financial Planning and minoring in Statistics. Evan is interning with Robert W. Baird & Co. This experience has not only deepened his understanding of the financial industry and wealth management, it has given him valuable insights into the company's culture. As part of the Foley Hillsley Group, Evan works alongside industry professionals, learning to create and execute financial strategies for clients and navigate the financial market. In addition to his academic and professional development pursuits, Evan is on MU's Baseball team.
William Troiano '27
Meet William Troiano '27, a Business Administration major interning with Merrill Lynch as a Wealth Management Seasonal Client Associate. He's quickly learning the Merrill Lynch systems and assists his team with onboarding new clients and advisors. With shadowing and hands-on training through this Bank of America Program, William will develop the skills to become a Client Associate. On campus, William is captain of the Men's Lacrosse Team, making the MAC Honor Roll in both years of play. He's also a proud member of the Business Professionals Association (BPA).
Owen Daminger '27
Meet Owen Daminger '27, a Sport Management major interning this summer with Prep Baseball MD. As a scouting intern, Owen is busy scouting high school baseball players and evaluating their performance in showcases and games. He enjoys helping to give youth the opportunity to play at the college level. He also helps with all that goes into running successful events and tournaments. Owen's time in the classroom and as a member of MU's Baseball Team have prepared him well for this great internship opportunity.
Makenna Fedorchak '26
Meet Makenna Fedorchak '26, an Accounting major interning with Klacik & Associates, P.C. this summer. Makenna is applying what she's learned in the classroom to areas such as taxes, auditing, and payroll.
This well-rounded internship will help Makenna further develop her accounting skills and enhance her overall professional development.
When she's not crunching numbers, Makenna supports the Cougars as a member of MU's Cheer Team.
Charlton Alonso '25
Meet Charlton Alonso '25, who has a dual major in Accounting and Business Administration with a Marketing specialization.
Charlton is currently interning with the Finance Office at the Friedman Jewish Community Center (JCC). He's also put his marketing skills to good use in MU's Marketing and PR Department. In addition, Charlton played soccer for four years at MU.
Remember Konkle '25
Meet Remember Konkle '25, a Business Administration student with a passion for marketing. Remember is gaining hands-on experience in both digital and print communication in her internship with the Fellowship Church. Her work helps to support church events and promotions, while building experience in project management and team management.
The experience is also helping Remember to grow both professionally and in ministry. In addition, Remember works with MU's Marketing & PR Department and is actively involved in the Business Professionals Association (BPA).
Lane Yergey '25
Meet Lane Yergey '25, an Accounting major interning with Kronick Kalada Berdy & Co. this busy tax season. He previously worked as a corporate accounting intern for Carpenter Technology. Lane is eager to bring his skills and experience in corporate accounting, tax preparation, and auditing to a firm when he graduates in May. Lane is also a member of MU's Men's Lacrosse Team.
George Mata '25
Meet George Mata '25, an Accounting major interning with MU's Free Taxpayer Clinic, along with our finance offices.
George especially enjoys giving presentations to get the word out on this clinic that offers free representation to low-income taxpayers involved in disputes with the Internal Revenue Service or the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Not only is George gaining practical experience, he's also serving the community! When he's not crunching numbers, George also plays for MU's Men's Basketball Team.
Hunter Wesolowski '25
Meet Hunter Wesolowski '25, a Business Administration major with a focus on Mass Communication and Design, who plans to pursue law school. This semester, he's gaining hands-on experience through his internship at the Russin Law Firm. An active leader on campus, Hunter is involved in
organizations such as Relay for Life and the Cougar Candy Company. He's also the founder of Hunting Positivity, a movement dedicated to spreading positivity, motivation, mindfulness, and a well-balanced lifestyle. Passionate about making a lasting impact, Hunter strives to inspire others both professionally and in their everyday lives.
Mitchell Watt '26
Meet Mitchell Watt '26, an Accounting major interning with Benco Dental. Mitchell started working with Benco last summer and because he did such a great job he was invited to stay on in his internship. Recently Mitchell and his Benco colleagues participated in Junior Achievement's YES!
volunteer event at Dallas Middle School. He has also volunteered helping kids on the Autism spectrum develop effective swimming techniques and helping at Tee-ball practices and games. He also plays for MU's football

Noah Segal '25
Meet Noah Segal '25, a Business Administration major interning with Enterprise Mobility. Noah is applying what he's learned in the classroom, along with his customer service and communication skills, to this dynamic experience. The marketing skills he developed in prior internships with MU's Marketing and PR Department and Blue Star Cooking are an added bonus. In addition to his commitment to academics and his professional development, Noah also played for MU's football team.
Jason Giambrone '26
Meet Jason Giambrone '26, a Sports Management major, who enjoyed interning with MU Athletics this fall. Jason credits the internship with helping with his organizational skills. No doubt that it has! Jason is good at multi-tasking. He's also a member of MU's Lacrosse Team and Business and Scholars Program. He's also a representative for the Student Government Association.
Jason does all this while maintaining an outstanding 3.98 GPA. Jason has his sights set on law school after graduation.
Anna Pierce '26
Meet Anna Pierce '26, a Business Administration major specializing in Healthcare Management, with plans to pursue a master's degree. Anna is interning with The Meadows Manor in Dallas. She's a member of the For the Kids Committee and Business Professionals Association (BPA), and participates in the Guaranteed Placement Program (GPP). She also does gameday management for MU Athletics! Anna says the skills and experiences she's gaining during this internship will significantly benefit her future career as an administrator!
Rory Scialabba '25
Say hello to Rory Scialabba '25, a Sport Management student interning with MU's Athletics Department. Rory is a familiar face on campus with students, faculty, and staff. Now he's getting to know the community members who frequent the Anderson Sports & Health Center. Rory also represents MU well as a Student Ambassador for the Admissions Department and runs for Cross Country Track and Field. Rory makes us all MU Proud!
Trent Creasy '25
Meet Trent Creasy '25, a Business Administration major specializing in Healthcare Management. He's interning with Patriots Cove, a nonprofit that empowers veterans, first responders, and their caregivers to heal and adapt to life after service. While helping others, Trent is also honing skills essential to running a non-profit, such as accounting, event-planning, and community relations. He looks forward to the upcoming Fish for the Fallen Tournament and making hunting blinds wheelchair-accessible. Trent is also a member of various clubs on campus, including the Business Professionals Association (BPA).
Connor Bevan '25
Say hello to Connor Bevan '25, a Business Administration major specializing in Health Care Management. Connor has just been named Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s Top Intern 2024 for Group 57 in Central, PA. Connor is also a standout on campus, serving as President of the Business Administration Association (BPA), and will serve as captain of the Men’s Lacrosse Team this upcoming season. All this and a 4.0 GPA! Outstanding!
Owen McGuffey '25
Meet Owen McGuffey '25, an Accounting major interning with Sax LLP Accounting this summer. Owen is currently working on exporting data into a new software program to enhance efficiency. When he's not crunching numbers, Owen is a member of MU's Football and Track teams. He's a university record-holder for 60H and 110H, and an All-Conference Honorable Mention 2023 (Wide Receiver).
Zach Kuhar '25
Meet Zach Kuhar '25, a Business Administration major specializing in Management Information Systems. Zach is interning this summer with Frederick Living in Zieglerville, PA, supporting the IT Department to keep things running smoothly for the residents and staff. Zach is a member of MU's Men's Lacrosse Team and a Sport Statistics Work Study for MU's Athletics Department.

Meet Abby Lupas ’24, a Business Administration major with a minor in English. Abby is interning with the United Way of Wyoming Valley, and is applying what she’s learned in the classroom to help this organization with the great work it does to improve and strengthen our community. Abby is also involved in MU’s A Moment of Magic Club.

Recently, Stanley and his Northeast team had the incredible opportunity to present at DHL's intern capstone event in Columbus, OH. They worked on an innovative auto approval system for indirect time, aiming to make a lasting impact across multiple DHL sites nationwide.

Mahtab Peimany ’24 is currently working remotely as a Human Resources Intern at Utopia Global Wellness! Meet Alyssa Black ’23, a Business Administration major interning with an IT consulting company coincidentally named Black Consulting Services, Inc (BlackCSI). As a sales and marketing intern, Alyssa helps develop marketing campaigns and supports the sales team. Logan Baxter ’23, ‘24 is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management and a Master’s degree in Business Administration! He’s currently interning with the JCA of Northeastern Pennsylvania’s Athletic Director, and Misericordia University Alumni, Brandon Heffelfinger ’22. Also, Logan is a member of Misericordia University Athletics Football Team.

Meet Joe Comins ’23. Joe is senior majoring in Sport Management. He’s currently interning with the Penn State Wilkes-Barre Athletics Department! Joe is also a member of Misericordia University Athletics Baseball Team.
Dylan Lukachko '24
Meet Dylan Lukachko '24, a Business Administration major specializing in marketing. Dylan is interning with MU's Marketing & PR Department which gives him a creative outlet for his talents. Dylan is also a member of MU's Football Team.
Rebecca Stickle ’25
Meet Rebecca Stickle ’25, a Business Administration major with a Management specialization. Rebecca is interning with Compass of NEPA where she’s applying what she’s learned in the classroom to the operations of this business incubator that serves rising entrepreneurship. Rebecca is also involved in MU’s Best Buddies Club.
James Pasake '24
Meet James Pasake '24, a Business Administration major specializing in Healthcare Administration. He plans to pursue his Master's degree in Healthcare Administration. James is putting his knowledge and skills to work in an internship with The Meadows Manor. He’s a member of MU's Business Professional Association and the American College of Healthcare Executives. James also played on MU's Football Team and tutors on campus.
Dimitri Brown '24
Meet Dimitri Brown '24, a Sport Management major with a passion for snowboarding. Dimitri is right at home in his internship with Montage Mountain Ski Resort. He plans to move west to work as a ski instructor, with plans to become a snowboard coach. Dimitri also played on MU's Football Team.
Sigma Beta Delta
The mission of Sigma Beta Delta is to encourage and recognize scholarship and accomplishment among students of business, management, and administration, and to encourage and promote aspirations toward personal and professional improvement and a life distinguished by honorable service to humankind. Sigma Beta Delta was established to honor students who have attained superior records in business programs in colleges and universities with regional accreditation.
Membership in Sigma Beta Delta is the highest national recognition a business student can receive at a college or university with a Sigma Beta Delta chapter. To be eligible for membership, a business student must rank in the top 20 percent of the junior, senior or graduate class and be invited to membership by the faculty officers. The one-time induction provides lifetime membership in the Honor Society
Study Abroad/Away
Misericordia University offers the following types of Study Abroad programs:
- Short-term Misericordia Faculty-Led programs which usually take place in the summer or in some instances, the month of January or over spring break
- Semester and summer programs at foreign universities
- Semester and summer programs at American university study centers
Semester and summer Study Abroad programs are currently located in: Australia; England; Ireland; Italy
Misericordia University Faculty-Led study programs and Campus Ministry international programs have included the following destinations but vary from year to year: Belize; England; Germany; Guyana; Ireland; Italy; Jamaica; South Africa
Career Support
Speaking to the overall value of a Misericordia education, workshops are available within the Insalaco Center for Professional Development and Leadership to help students refine their interviewing skills, identify their career interests, and assist with resume development. As a benefit to its students, Misericordia partners with a wide variety of employers to offer recruitment events on campus for networking and interviewing opportunities.
Guaranteed Placement Program
Students in all majors, including those in the College of Business, are encouraged to participate in the Guaranteed Placement Program hosted by the Insalaco Center for Professional Development and Leadership. The Guaranteed Placement Program is a structured professional development program for students that integrates career-focused workshops, experiential education, and individual meetings with career advisors.
