Nursing Adjunct: Pittsburgh Campus
The Nursing Department at Misericordia University Pittsburgh is currently seeking candidates for nursing clinical faculty positions for its accelerated bachelor of science in nursing program (ABSN). As a Nursing Clinical Instructor, the primary responsibility is the clinical education of the students in the ABSN program. Clinical Instructors are assigned teaching responsibilities in a clinical area in Pittsburgh and are expected to contribute to the education of the students including psychomotor skills, standards of practice, and critical thinking. Occupational Therapy Faculty
The Department of Occupational Therapy at Misericordia University is currently accepting applications for a non-tenure track full-time (10 month) on campus faculty position to begin August 2021 in Dallas, PA. Rank and salary are dependent upon the applicant’s experience and qualifications.
The Department of Occupational Therapy offers an accredited professional entry-level degree MSOT program. The entry level OTD degree program is currently granted candidacy accreditation status. We also offer a post-professional clinical doctorate in occupational therapy which culminates in each student developing an individualized doctoral capstone project under close faculty mentorship.

Nursing Faculty: Pittsburgh
The Nursing Department at Misericordia University is currently accepting applications for full-time (12 month) faculty positions as an assistant professor for our ABSN Pittsburgh location beginning August 2021.
This position will consist of online, lab and clinical teaching in the undergraduate program in medical surgical and related areas in the greater Pittsburgh area.

Program Director: Pittsburgh Campus
Misericordia University is seeking a Program Director for the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program at its site near Pittsburgh.
In this critical leadership role, the director will provide oversight of academic operations, faculty, and student performance and success. Reporting to the Undergraduate Nursing Department Chair, the director will ensure that students enter the program appropriately qualified and prepared to succeed. Students in the ABSN program complete online didactic coursework, on-site and laboratory sessions, and external clinical experiences with a well-established area healthcare partner.
For consideration, the applicant must have a Master’s Degree in Nursing, with a terminal degree preferred. A minimum of five years teaching experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, along with prior supervisory experience, is required. The successful candidate will have a current unencumbered RN license in the state of Pennsylvania or be eligible to receive a current unencumbered RN license in the state of Pennsylvania.

Adjunct - Medical Imaging
Misericordia University is currently accepting applications for an adjunct clinical instructor for the Medical Imaging Program.
The qualified candidate will possess: a minimum A.A.S. degree (B.S.degree is preferred) in Radiologic Technology (Radiography) from a J.R.C.E.R.T. accredited program; current A.R.R.T. certification in Radiologic Technology (Radiography); a minimum of 2 years recent experience, post radiography education, in the general radiology department. Experience in supervising, instructing, and evaluating students is preferred. Criminal background checks, current CPR, health clearance, inclusive of drug testing, and valid PA driver's license are required.

Assistant Professor | Computer Science
The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Misericordia University invites applications for a full-time (10 month) non-tenure-track Assistant Professor in Computer Science position beginning August 15th, 2022. We seek a candidate with leadership skills who can help to grow and enrich our current program. Candidates from all areas of computer science are encouraged to apply. Areas of particular interest include, but are not limited to, software engineering, machine learning, cybersecurity, and data science. Candidates must have completed a Doctorate in Computer Science or a closely related field by the time of appointment.
Successful candidates must demonstrate excellence in teaching at the college/university level and are expected to establish and maintain a research program that leads to peer-reviewed publications and actively involves undergraduate students. In addition to teaching a 4:4 load, responsibilities include academic advising and participation in departmental and university service. Assistant Professor | Physician Assistant Program
The Physician Assistant (PA) Studies Program at Misericordia University invites applicants for a full-time (12 month), non-tenure-track assistant professor. This position will provide instruction and assessment tasks within didactic and clinical courses across the PA Program curriculum. Additional duties will include participation in clinical experience instructional, administrative and accreditation processes. The instructional load includes time dedicated to the delivery of didactic year curriculum and time dedicated to supporting clinical year activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Successful completion of and graduation from a Regionally Accredited and ARC-PA Accredited PA Program.
- Possess and maintain current and valid National Commissions on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification.
- Current and valid Pennsylvania PA license or eligibility for Pennsylvania state licensure
- Master’s degree required (or in process)
- Two years of post-graduation clinical practice experience (preferred)
- Experience with providing instruction in higher education settings (preferred)

Founded as a college for women by the Religious Sisters of Mercy, Misericordia is a comprehensive institution with a strong commitment to liberal arts education. Assistant Professor | Clinical or Counseling Psychology
Position Summary: The Department of Psychology at Misericordia University invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track Assistant Professor in Clinical or Counseling Psychology beginning August 2022. We are a growing major and minor with a Mental Health Interventions Specialization (https://www.misericordia.edu/psychology).
We seek a creative, compassionate and engaging instructor to teach Introductory Psychology, Psychopathology, and Counseling and Psychotherapy as well as specialty courses in their area of interest. The candidate will develop and coordinate our Psychology undergraduate practicum program. These practicum coordinator duties are incorporated into the expected teaching load of twelve credits per semester.
Successful candidates must demonstrate excellence in teaching at the college/university level, a passion for mentoring and advising undergraduate students, and a commitment to supporting students with intersecting identities. Candidates who are interested in research that actively involves undergraduate students are welcome but not required (lab space and internal grant funding is available for those interested).
Qualifications: A Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or a related field is required. Candidates who are ABD with completed doctoral degrees by August 15, 2022 are encouraged to apply (we enjoy mentoring early career professionals). Preference will be given to candidates with clinical/counseling expertise in adult populations. Having a desire for congenial faculty and student relationships is a must.
