Temporary Staff
The Temporary Staff Employee offers necessary staffing coverage and support in a wide range of temporary vacant positions that arise due to unscheduled absences, leaves of absence, employee vacations, special projects, events, pending recruitment needs, workflow peaks and other situations. Assignments will vary from short term (several hours) to long term (several months) dependent on each situation. This position is on an as needed, on-call basis and is not a guarantee of regular part-time or full-time employment. Safety Officer | 3rd Shift
Under the general supervision of a Campus Safety Supervisor, this position is a member of a team of officers responsible for providing personal safety for members of the university community through a courteous, helpful and professional manner. This position provides a highly visual deterrent to campus crime while protecting the property and assets of the university.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED.
Experience
- 2 years’ security work experience and/or physical security and protection of assets training; emergency services experience including fire and rescue; military and/or law enforcement experience; experience using radio communications equipment.

Campus Life Coordinator/Residence Life | Student Engagement
Job Overview:
This is a 12-month live in position responsible for working in the residential and student engagement experience. This includes managing all aspects of our residential areas as well as planning, development, organization, and execution of events and activities, sponsored by the office campus life.
Education:
- Master's degree in College Student Personnel/Student Affairs Administration or a related field preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years previous experience in residence life, student activities or related fields during graduate or undergraduate career.
- Experience with analyzing and resolving conflict, team building, group dynamics, and problem-solving skills.

Senior Accountant | On Campus
Job Overview:
The Senior Accountant will assist in the ongoing management of the University’s detailed general ledger, budgetary records and other financial records through the application of comprehensive accounting practices and generally accepted accounting principles. This position will assist in implementing and maintaining procedures associated with the University’s annual operating and strategic budgets, and direct, an internal audit function to ensure compliance with sound fiscal practices across the University. The position also supervises two Staff Accountants and will provide support for other Finance Office functions as the need arises.

Experience:
- A minimum of six years of experience in accounting, business planning or operations or financial analysis is required. Grant accounting experience beneficial.

Custodian
The Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the university buildings and facilities. This role ensures a safe and healthy environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas.
- Empty and sanitize trash and recycling bins.
- Maintain and restock supplies in restrooms and other facilities.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
- Respond to special cleaning requests and emergencies as needed.
- Operate and maintain custodial equipment effectively and safely.
- Report maintenance issues or hazards to the supervisor promptly.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
- Assist with setup and takedown for university events as required.

Graduate Assistant | Library
The Graduate Assistant for Library Services will assist in the delivery of library programs, services, and resources to support the academic and research needs of students and faculty. This position provides an excellent opportunity for hands-on experience in various library functions, including reference services, information literacy instruction, and collection management.

General Maintenance Mechanic
Position Summary:
The General Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality, condition, and safety of university buildings and infrastructure. Head Coach of Women's Wrestling
Job Overview:
The Head Coach of Women’s Wrestling is responsible for the organization and administration of all aspects of the sport or sports activities including supervision, teaching and implementing skills and strategies, recruiting, budget development, scheduling, purchasing, facility maintenance, public relations, community outreach, and implementation of NCAA policies and regulations.
Work-Related Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of the NCAA rules and regulations.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university.
Experience:
- One to two years previous coaching experience and/or training and competitive background indicative of the ability to coach successfully in a NCAA Division III liberal arts college environment.

Vice President University Advancement
Misericordia seeks an innovative new vice president who is an experienced and successful leader in higher education and who is deeply grounded in liberal arts education and the charisms of the Sisters of Mercy. The vice president is the chief advancement officer for the University and advises the President on all matters pertaining to the management and operation of alumni relations and donor relations.
Education and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree and experience in donor-centric development operations.
- Progressively more responsibility (including or approaching the level of a vice president) in leadership and administrative experience, in higher education or a closely related non-profit setting, related to fundraising university advancement and/or alumni/external relations.
- An understanding of the legacy of the Sisters of Mercy and the Catholic traditions and mission of the University, and a deep commitment to the charisms.
- Demonstrated experience in cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding prospects and their engagement in fundraising activities.
