Custodian: All Shifts Available
The primary purpose of this position is to perform custodial duties, minor maintenance and other miscellaneous duties in order to ensure that buildings and facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner. The Custodian will assist with the setup of facilities, meetings, classrooms, conferences, events, etc. In addition, this position helps with snow removal on campus grounds. Flexibility to accommodate evening/weekend hours and/or on-call/overtime schedules is preferred.
A High School Diploma or GED is required. Three to six months related experience and/or training is necessary. Prior housekeeping experience preferred.

Temporary Staff
The Temporary Staff Employee offers necessary staffing coverage and support in a wide range of temporary vacant positions that arise due to unscheduled absences, leaves of absence, employee vacations, special projects, events, pending recruitment needs, workflow peaks and other situations. Assignments will vary from short term (several hours) to long term (several months) dependent on each situation. This position is on an as needed, on-call basis and is not a guarantee of regular part-time or full-time employment. Flexible hours of work will be required, to include possible evening and weekend work.

Groundskeeper II
Under supervision, the Groundskeeper II will maintain the appearance, functionality, and safety of all athletic fields performing a variety of duties related to athletic field maintenance, preparation, care and management. This position will also perform routine maintenance and upkeep on campus grounds, equipment, and tools.
Education
- High School diploma or GED
- Additional horticulture related education is highly desirable.
Experience
- A minimum of 2 years recent experience in landscape, lawn maintenance, and/or horticulture.
- Turf care and/or athletic field maintenance experience is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership skills are required.
Licenses/Certifications
- Current and valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
- PA Department of Agriculture herbicide and pesticide license is preferred. Ability to obtain PA Department of Agriculture herbicide and pesticide license within 3 months of hire is required.

Safety Officer | 3rd Shift
Under the general supervision of a Campus Safety Supervisor, this position is a member of a team of officers responsible for providing personal safety for members of the university community through a courteous, helpful and professional manner. This position provides a highly visual deterrent to campus crime while protecting the property and assets of the university.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED.
Experience
- 2 years’ security work experience and/or physical security and protection of assets training; emergency services experience including fire and rescue; military and/or law enforcement experience; experience using radio communications equipment.
Licenses/Certifications
- Valid driver’s license.

Assistant Director of Athletics
Job Description:
The Assistant Director of Athletics is responsible for assisting the Director with organization and administration of the program of intercollegiate athletics. Responsibilities include providing the Director and staff with leadership for the long-range planning and direction of the athletic program. This position supports the Director of Athletics in all aspects of the department’s operations, including but not limited to athletic program management, compliance with regulations, promotion of student-athlete achievements, and enhancement of athletic facilities. The incumbent will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive student-athlete experience and ensuring the athletic programs' overall success and integrity.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university.
- Master’s Degree from an accredited four year college or university preferred.
Experience
- Minimum five years of management experience in intercollegiate or professional athletics.

Student Financial Services Counselor
Job Overview:
The Student Financial Services Counselor is an on-campus position that will evaluate financial needs of students and award financial aid according to government and institutional regulations and guidelines. This position will provide financial aid information and advice to students and families through e-mail, phone, and personal contact.
- Inform and advise students about financial aid eligibility, application procedures, aid programs, costs, indebtedness, money and management and financial planning; individualizes information to the particular needs and situation of the student
- Collect and/or analyze financial data on students to determine aid eligibility and make awards within federal, donor and/or institutional guidelines.
- Evaluate unusual/mitigating circumstance documentation or information provided by the student; exercise judgment by making adjustment or revisions to costs, contribution, need or dependency status as exceptions to the prescribed process.
- Answer questions, inquiries or requests from students, parents, or guardians in person or in writing regarding financial aid programs and eligibility.
- Prepare for and present information regarding federal financial aid, scholarships, employment and grants for various campus groups, high school students and parents at meetings, group discussions, workshops and recruitment sessions.
- Analyze various reports such as grades and enrollment status or award status to verify continued compliance and eligibility of students receiving aid under federal and institutional guidelines; notify students (through email and/or financial aid portal such as PowerFAIDS of changes in eligibility of awards and alternatives to amend the situation.
- Interact with students and lenders, employers, donors, guarantee agencies and/or staff to resolve issues.
- Process Federal Tax Verifications as mandated by federal law. Review the students and or parents federal income taxes for correctness and compare information on taxes to information filed on the FAFSA. Report any discrepancies and make appropriate aid adjustments.
- Keep Associate Director of Financial Aid and Director of Student Financial Services informed of issues and concerns raised by inquiries; identifies and recommends changes in processes to better expedite financial aid process (both general and student specific)
- Act as a certifying official for the Department of Veterans Affairs.
- Manage the certifications of veteran’s enrollment and track the return of tuition payments to the university.
- Coordinate with the Admissions Office, Registrar’s Office and Faculty to ensure all federal and state requirements are in compliance
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or a related field.
Experience:
- 5 years of experience in financial aid, student counseling or related experience.

College Liaison
Job Overview:
The College Liaison supports and continues retention efforts through the collaboration with the College Health Sciences and Education students, staff and faculty. This position will support intervention programming to include Student Alert, academic probation and departmental dismissals, the First-Year Experience, Bridge Program and undeclared advising.
In addition, operate the Student Alert Program, providing outreach to students who are demonstrating academic and personal difficulties through low class attendance, poor academic performance and/or class behaviors that are not consistent with effective learning. Meet with identified students and provide individualized academic skills instruction, academic advising and recovery planning, and personal coaching. Refer students to other campus resources as indicated in an effort to facilitate successful adjustment to the University environment.
Education:
- Master’s Degree in Higher Education, Psychology, or related field is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in collegiate environment.

Administrative Assistant | Occupational Therapy Department
Job Overview:
Under the guidance of the Occupational Therapy Academic Fieldwork Coordinator, assist in organizing student placement for the fieldwork component of the Occupational Therapy Program. Act as the intermediary between the University and clinical partners. Additionally, at the direction of the OT Academic Fieldwork Coordinator, actively develop and secure fieldwork education placements for both entry-level master's and doctoral weekday and weekend MSOT programs. This involves regularly reaching out to potential sites by phone to secure placements.
Education:
- Associate’s degree in business or general studies required.
- Medical background preferred.
Experience:
- 5 years’ experience in roles requiring coordination of meetings, events, appointments or providing administrative support to multiple supervisors using basic spreadsheet and database software.

Assistant Registrar for Curriculum and Advising
Misericordia University invites applications for the position of Assistant Registrar for Curriculum and Advising. The Assistant Registrar is responsible for assisting in the maintenance of student degree audit and program completion tracking, maintaining administrative and curriculum data used to produce the University Catalog, and guiding students, staff, advisors, and administrators regarding advising and curriculum matters.
The Assistant Registrar assists with the daily operations of the Registrar's office, specifically in the maintenance of student degree audit and program completion tracking, and the university catalog; serves as the point of contact for new student registration and advising questions and concerns; serves as an Undeclared Advisor and instructor of a First Year Experience Seminar in conjunction with the Student Success Center; assists in updating registration and advising modules, including updating catalog and institutional advising requirement functions; performs data entry to assign academic advisors to entering students and updates to continuing students; processes and reviews student applications for graduation, changes of major and declaration of minor requests; assists staff with registration and commencement related activities; other duties as assigned.
