Custodian: All Shifts Available
The primary purpose of this position is to perform custodial duties, minor maintenance and other miscellaneous duties in order to ensure that buildings and facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner. The Custodian will assist with the setup of facilities, meetings, classrooms, conferences, events, etc. In addition, this position helps with snow removal on campus grounds. Flexibility to accommodate evening/weekend hours and/or on-call/overtime schedules is preferred.
A High School Diploma or GED is required. Three to six months related experience and/or training is necessary. Prior housekeeping experience preferred.

Temporary Staff
The Temporary Staff Employee offers necessary staffing coverage and support in a wide range of temporary vacant positions that arise due to unscheduled absences, leaves of absence, employee vacations, special projects, events, pending recruitment needs, workflow peaks and other situations. Assignments will vary from short term (several hours) to long term (several months) dependent on each situation. This position is on an as needed, on-call basis and is not a guarantee of regular part-time or full-time employment. Flexible hours of work will be required, to include possible evening and weekend work.

Campus Safety Officer | Part-Time
Under the general supervision of a Campus Safety Supervisor, this position is a member of a team of officers responsible for providing personal safety for members of the university community through a courteous, helpful and professional manner. This position provides a highly visual deterrent to campus crime while protecting the property and assets of the university.
Provide security for persons, buildings, and assets of the university through a variety of security techniques and methods. Provide walking and/or vehicle escorts. Drive university vehicle to transport passenger(s). Assist disabled passengers into and out of vehicle. Assist students, staff and faculty in gaining entrance to secured areas when appropriate.
REQUIREMENTS: (Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)

Experience
· 2 years’ security work experience and/or physical security and protection of assets training; emergency services experience including fire and rescue; military and/or law enforcement experience; experience using radio communications equipment.

Maintenance Mechanic | Multi-Skilled
The position will perform a variety of skilled journey-level work to assist in the maintenance and operation of the various infrastructure systems within the University to ensure a suitable living, learning, and working environment in all University facilities. This position will assure the compliance of work with applicable codes, health and safety regulations.
Education
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
Experience
- Five years of recent (within the last fifteen years) multiple trades experience that includes locks, electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, drywall, and other minor construction and repair skills in an educational or institutional environment.
- Completion of an approved apprenticeship program in multiple trades in electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, drywall, and other minor construction and repair skills.

Groundskeeper
Misericordia University Grounds Department invites candidates to apply for our Groundskeeper Positions. The groundskeeper will perform a variety of grounds tasks to maintain a safe and attractive living, learning, and working environment at the University. Groundskeeper II
Under supervision, the Groundskeeper II will maintain the appearance, functionality, and safety of all athletic fields performing a variety of duties related to athletic field maintenance, preparation, care and management. This position will also perform routine maintenance and upkeep on campus grounds, equipment, and tools.
Education
- High School diploma or GED
- Additional horticulture related education is highly desirable.
Experience
- A minimum of 2 years recent experience in landscape, lawn maintenance, and/or horticulture.
- Turf care and/or athletic field maintenance experience is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership skills are required.

General Maintenance Mechanic
Misericordia University is hiring Maintenance Mechanics to perform a wide variety of general maintenance and preventative maintenance around the campus. The positions will perform a variety of assignments to assist in the maintenance and operation of the various infrastructure systems within the University to ensure a suitable living, learning, and working environment in all University facilities.
The Maintenance Mechanics will maintain, service, and conduct minor repairs on buildings and equipment while performing a variety of semi-skilled duties in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, and plastering. In addition, some Maintenance Mechanics (experience dependent) will perform generator testing, replacing filters and belts, inspecting operational pumps, elevators, emergency lighting and exit signs, and assist with water treatment of boiler and closed loop systems.
All Maintenance Mechanics assure the compliance of work with applicable codes, health, and safety regulations.

Administrative Assistant | Speech-Language Pathology Department
Job Description:
Assist the Speech-Language Pathology Department chair, full time and adjunct faculty in achieving the program goals and objectives in conjunction with meeting the standards set by an outside accrediting agency. In addition, support the daily operations of the department to include maintenance of department records, student databases, processing of faculty contracts, overloads and student assistantship contracts. Act as main point of contact for students, families, and faculty. Track and update departmental retention data, and prepare informational database reports as required for accreditation standards.
Education:
- Minimum education qualification is an Associate Degree in business, general studies, or related areas.
Experience:
- 2-5 years experience in roles requiring coordination of meetings, events, appointments or providing administrative support to multiple bosses using basic and advanced spreadsheet and database software.
- Experience with medical billing as well as medical terminology is preferred.

Offensive Coordinator | Strength and Conditioning Coach
Job Description
The Offensive Coordinator will be expected to assist in all facets of directing and managing a successful football program to include a strong knowledge of offensive coaching strategies and oversee all aspects of the team offense. Actively recruit quality potential student athletes. Ensure compliance with all NCAA and Misericordia rules and regulations. As the Strength and Conditioning Coach this position will provide strength and conditioning programs for all of Misericordia University’s intercollegiate student athletes and teams by designing programs that are sport specific in nature, safety conscious, and in accordance with NCAA Division III compliance standards.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university
Experience
- Prior playing or coaching experience at the college, university, or professional level
- Demonstrated athletic leadership experience
- Strong administrative, managerial, and interpersonal skills
- Background in coaching the offensive line and video editing systems is preferred
- Experience in strength & conditioning is preferred
Licenses/Certifications
- Current and appropriate type certifications required by the NCAA and/or the University
- Valid driver’s license
- Certification in strength & conditioning that allow for NCAA compliance regulations is preferred

The Defensive Coordinator will be expected to assist in all facets of directing and managing a successful football program to include a strong knowledge of defensive coaching strategies and oversee all aspects of the team defense. Analyzes performance and instructs student-athletes in game strategies and techniques to prepare them for athletic competition. Provides secure, hospitable recreational environment as it relates to athletic facilities on evenings and weekends. Provides leadership in preparing athletic facilities for practice and contests.
Education
- Bachelor's degree required.
Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or preparation.
- Background in coaching quarterbacks and wide receivers preferred.

- Current and appropriate type certifications required by the NCAA and/or the University

Head Coach | Women's Volleyball
The head women’s volleyball coach is responsible for the organization and administration of all aspects of the sport or sports activities including supervision, teaching and implementing skills and strategies, recruiting, budget development, scheduling, purchasing, facility maintenance, public relations, community outreach, and implementation of NCAA policies and regulations.
RELATED DUTIES:
- Assist in the development of policies and procedures for the conduct of the program of intercollegiate athletics.
- Evening and weekend hours to include team travel and recruiting.
- Uphold and promote the Mission and Philosophy of the University and the Sisters of Mercy.
- Preserve honesty and integrity in the professional affairs of the University; adhere to high standards of ethical practices and conduct.

Experience
- One to two years previous coaching experience and/or training and competitive background indicative of the ability to coach successfully in a NCAA Division III liberal arts college environment.

Administrative Assistant
The Administrative Assistant will perform clerical work and administrative support to the Director and staff of the Health and Wellness Center. This position will assist in achieving the center’s goals and objectives to provide health care and health education to students and the university community. In addition, provide administrative support to the department including, but not limited to, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, filing, processing/distributing mail (except items marked confidential), maintenance of department and student records, databases, reports and other documents/projects, composing correspondence, record keeping, and data entry. Act as main point of contact for students, families, visitors, vendors, and University community.

Experience
- Minimum of one year related office experience in a secretarial or administrative support role and/or training.
