Custodian: All Shifts Available
The primary purpose of this position is to perform custodial duties, minor maintenance and other miscellaneous duties in order to ensure that buildings and facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner. The Custodian will assist with the setup of facilities, meetings, classrooms, conferences, events, etc. In addition, this position helps with snow removal on campus grounds. Flexibility to accommodate evening/weekend hours and/or on-call/overtime schedules is preferred.
A High School Diploma or GED is required. Three to six months related experience and/or training is necessary. Prior housekeeping experience preferred.

Temporary Staff
The Temporary Staff Employee offers necessary staffing coverage and support in a wide range of temporary vacant positions that arise due to unscheduled absences, leaves of absence, employee vacations, special projects, events, pending recruitment needs, workflow peaks and other situations. Assignments will vary from short term (several hours) to long term (several months) dependent on each situation. This position is on an as needed, on-call basis and is not a guarantee of regular part-time or full-time employment. Flexible hours of work will be required, to include possible evening and weekend work.

Campus Safety Officer | Part-Time
Under the general supervision of a Campus Safety Supervisor, this position is a member of a team of officers responsible for providing personal safety for members of the university community through a courteous, helpful and professional manner. This position provides a highly visual deterrent to campus crime while protecting the property and assets of the university.
Provide security for persons, buildings, and assets of the university through a variety of security techniques and methods. Provide walking and/or vehicle escorts. Drive university vehicle to transport passenger(s). Assist disabled passengers into and out of vehicle. Assist students, staff and faculty in gaining entrance to secured areas when appropriate.

Groundskeeper II
Under supervision, the Groundskeeper II will maintain the appearance, functionality, and safety of all athletic fields performing a variety of duties related to athletic field maintenance, preparation, care and management. This position will also perform routine maintenance and upkeep on campus grounds, equipment, and tools.
Education
- High School diploma or GED
- Additional horticulture related education is highly desirable.
Experience
- A minimum of 2 years recent experience in landscape, lawn maintenance, and/or horticulture.
- Turf care and/or athletic field maintenance experience is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership skills are required.
Licenses/Certifications
- Current and valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
- PA Department of Agriculture herbicide and pesticide license is preferred. Ability to obtain PA Department of Agriculture herbicide and pesticide license within 3 months of hire is required.

Misericordia University Low Income Taxpayer Clinic
Misericordia University’s College of Business is accepting applications, effective immediately, for a full-time position as a Tax Attorney or Tax Specialist in our Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic.
The mission of Low Income Taxpayer Clinics (LITC), is to ensure the fairness and integrity of the tax system for taxpayers who are low-income or speak English as a second language by 1) providing free representation on their behalf in tax disputes with the IRS; 2) advancing outreach and educating them about their rights and responsibilities as taxpayers, and 3) identifying and advocating on a systemic basis issues that impact these taxpayers
This tax position will assist the clinic director of the LITC with all aspects of the tax clinic, including client representation, student and volunteer supervision, classroom instruction, community outreach and education, and systemic advocacy for issues impacting taxpayers of the LITC. The position is subject to continued IRS grant funding. The clinic is located at the University, in Dallas, PA, (situated in the Scranton/Wilkes Barre/Hazleton general area), and the position can be hybrid.
Qualified applicants will have either 1) a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school, and a valid license to practice law; or 2) a valid license to practice as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA); or 3) be credentialed as an IRS enrolled agent. Successful applicants should have an interest in serving communities of low income or where English is a second language. Fluency or strong proficiency in Spanish or another second language is preferred.

Assistant Director of Athletics
Job Description:
The Assistant Director of Athletics is responsible for assisting the Director with organization and administration of the program of intercollegiate athletics. Responsibilities include providing the Director and staff with leadership for the long-range planning and direction of the athletic program. This position supports the Director of Athletics in all aspects of the department’s operations, including but not limited to athletic program management, compliance with regulations, promotion of student-athlete achievements, and enhancement of athletic facilities. The incumbent will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive student-athlete experience and ensuring the athletic programs' overall success and integrity.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university.
- Master’s Degree from an accredited four year college or university preferred.
Experience
- Minimum five years of management experience in intercollegiate or professional athletics.

University Registrar
Job Overview:
Misericordia University invites applications for the position of University Registrar, beginning no later than January 2025. This position plans, organizes, directs, and manages all activities related to the Registrar’s Office, including certification, graduation, classroom scheduling, and the collection, recording, maintenance, and reporting of student records within FERPA guidelines.
The University Registrar provides leadership for all staff in the Registrar’s Office and is expected to ensure regulatory compliance with federal and state regulations, including NCAA rules, in the administration of academic policies, systems implementation, and records management. The Registrar is responsible for managing the academic calendar, course catalog, and the Registrar’s Office budget while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity.
The University Registrar will assess data and provide institutional insights that impact student enrollment, retention strategies, and student success efforts. The Registrar will serve on university committees and task forces. This role is also instrumental in leading the adoption and implementation of processes and technologies to enhance service quality as well as operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Student Financial Services Counselor
Job Overview:
The Student Financial Services Counselor is an on-campus position that will evaluate financial needs of students and award financial aid according to government and institutional regulations and guidelines. This position will provide financial aid information and advice to students and families through e-mail, phone, and personal contact.
- Inform and advise students about financial aid eligibility, application procedures, aid programs, costs, indebtedness, money and management and financial planning; individualizes information to the particular needs and situation of the student
- Collect and/or analyze financial data on students to determine aid eligibility and make awards within federal, donor and/or institutional guidelines.
- Evaluate unusual/mitigating circumstance documentation or information provided by the student; exercise judgment by making adjustment or revisions to costs, contribution, need or dependency status as exceptions to the prescribed process.
- Answer questions, inquiries or requests from students, parents, or guardians in person or in writing regarding financial aid programs and eligibility.
- Prepare for and present information regarding federal financial aid, scholarships, employment and grants for various campus groups, high school students and parents at meetings, group discussions, workshops and recruitment sessions.
- Analyze various reports such as grades and enrollment status or award status to verify continued compliance and eligibility of students receiving aid under federal and institutional guidelines; notify students (through email and/or financial aid portal such as PowerFAIDS of changes in eligibility of awards and alternatives to amend the situation.
- Interact with students and lenders, employers, donors, guarantee agencies and/or staff to resolve issues.
- Process Federal Tax Verifications as mandated by federal law. Review the students and or parents federal income taxes for correctness and compare information on taxes to information filed on the FAFSA. Report any discrepancies and make appropriate aid adjustments.
- Keep Associate Director of Financial Aid and Director of Student Financial Services informed of issues and concerns raised by inquiries; identifies and recommends changes in processes to better expedite financial aid process (both general and student specific)
- Act as a certifying official for the Department of Veterans Affairs.
- Manage the certifications of veteran’s enrollment and track the return of tuition payments to the university.
- Coordinate with the Admissions Office, Registrar’s Office and Faculty to ensure all federal and state requirements are in compliance
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or a related field.
Experience:
- 5 years of experience in financial aid, student counseling or related experience.
- Experience in higher education preferred.
Work-Related Knowledge:
- Knowledge of general regulations governing the administration of federal, state, and college financial aid programs, including grant and loan programs preferred.
- Ability to keep current on changes in regulations, policies, and procedures.
