About

Mission

To engage the Misericordia University campus and community in meaningful aesthetic and educational experiences in the visual arts.

Goals

  • Present relevant, compelling, and entertaining exhibitions of material and visual culture
  • Build connections with the larger cultural community of curators, artists, and scholars
  • Collaborate with faculty to support curriculum through exhibitions and programs
  • Activate alternative spaces within the campus and community as sites of creative expression

Curatorial

Our curatorial agenda is focused on supporting academic curriculum driven by our faculty and programs across multiple disciplines. Our exhibitions focus on issues affecting our world today and are best expressed by the University's charisms of Mercy, Service, Justice, and Hospitality, as well as the Critical Concerns of Earth, Immigration, Nonviolence, Racism, and Women.

Programs

Please see our events listings for free in-person and virtual programs, including art conversations and workshops with curators and artists.
