Annual David A. Evans Color Run
The David A. Evans Memorial Color Run is held each year in April on the campus of Misericordia University in honor of David Evans, Jr. who died April 11, 2014. David was the son of Dr. Dawn Evans, assistant professor in the Occupational Therapy Department and her husband Dave Evans. The 5K color run is sponsored by the MU Student Government with all proceeds going to the David A. Evans, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund at Holy Redeemer High School in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Each year, graduating seniors at Holy Redeemer who have enrolled as an incoming freshmen at Misericordia University are given the opportunity to apply for the scholarship fund. To date, over $14,000 has been awarded to graduating students pursuing a career at Misericordia. The color run is open to all ages on campus and our local communities.
Due to Covid restrictions and the well-being of our MU students and the community, a decision was made to once again postpone this fun-filled event. We will look forward to next year holding the Color Run and supporting this wonderful event.
