Picture Yourself On Campus
While we may not be able to be back on our beautiful campus, we hope you can still “picture yourself” back at the Arch, Anderson Center, or outside Mercy Hall! On this page, you’ll find a selection of campus images that you can include as the background for your campus photos. To make this as easy of an option as possible, we’ve created some helpful tips to put you “back on campus”!
- We’ve included various campus symbols and locations including the cougar statue, Anderson Center, the Arch, Mercy Hall, and more for you to choose from. Or if you have a personal favorite such as your dorm, your team’s locker room, a lab, or a studio- you can use those too! We encourage you to make this experience your own!
- Use our recommended photo editing tool (or your own favorite app) to place your graduation photos, or other photos of your friends onto our campus.
- New to editing photos? After testing various tools, we’ve found the LightX photo editing mobile app to be user friendly, and allows both android and iPhone users to use their favorite photos and backgrounds to make their own creations. Available for download on most devices, the base app is free and offers tutorials, walk-throughs, and answers to frequently asked questions to help guide you through making your campus graduation photos. Check out the examples included, and learn more about the app here:

Homecoming, October 2-3, 2020
Please keep in touch via social media to stay up-to-date with the latest developments regarding Homecoming 2020. We are monitoring government health regulations closely to see how they impact our planning, but we hope to invite the May Class of 2020 and many other alumni back to campus for our annual event.
May Ceremony – All May graduates will be honored together in a special December Commencement ceremony. Below is the tentative schedule of events for the weekend. Some pre-Commencement event times may be subject to change, so check back, share your personal email with us, and watch for updates in the mail in early fall.
Commencement Rehearsal May 2020 Class – December 19, 2020
12:30 p.m.: COMMENCEMENT REHEARSAL, LEMMOND THEATER All degree candidates planning to walk in the ceremony, unless excused by the Vice President of Academic Affairs, must attend the commencement rehearsal. Following rehearsal, the entire class will be photographed as a group. Caps and gowns are required for the class photo.
BACCALAUREATE LITURGY – Saturday, December 19, 2020
LEMMOND THEATER Graduates and families of all faiths are welcome to participate in this special liturgy, which is part of our Catholic and Mercy tradition. No tickets are required.
Academic Awards Ceremony – Saturday, December 19, 2020
50 Nights to Commencement – Saturday, December 19, 2020
We know many graduates will have to travel back to experience the full commencement in December. The Alumni Relations office will host a an on-campus reception for the May graduates to give then another chance to see each other, faculty, staff and to network with alumni and community friends. Watch for updates in the coming months.
Commencement Ceremony for May Honorees – December 20, 2020, 10 a.m.
9:00 a.m.: LINE UP FOR COMMENCEMENT, LEMMOND THEATER
10:00 a.m.: COMMENCEMENT CONVOCATION, ANDERSON CENTER Tickets required.
11:30 a.m.: COMMENCEMENT LUNCH, BANKS STUDENT LIFE CENTER No charge for graduates; guests must purchase a ticket. Contact the Bookstore in November at 570-674-6271 to purchase tickets.
