Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner
As an adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner, you need to be able to think fast and react to challenges with insightful care. Through a combination of theory-based learning and real-world application, you’ll learn best practices that can help you better treat long-term, chronic illnesses and health issues such as diabetes.
In addition, we’ll teach you how to record detailed health histories and tailor health assessments based on data to promote healthy lifestyle changes. Prepare to develop the necessary strategic and technical knowledge you need to be an advocate for illness prevention and health promotion by completing 45 credit hours of our online AGPCNP curriculum.
Earn your nurse practitioner certification.
Graduates of the online AGPCNP program are eligible to take the adult gerontology primary care nurse practitioner certification examination offered by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
To become a fully licensed AGNP, you must possess an RN license, complete an MSN or DNP degree, and pass the certification exam.
