The Healthcare Administration program prepares students to manage, lead, and improve operations in healthcare organizations such as hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and public health systems. The major combines healthcare knowledge with business, management, and policy principles to develop leaders capable of navigating the complex healthcare environment. It sits at the intersection of public health, business administration, and healthcare delivery. Core areas of study include healthcare systems and policy, management and leadership, finance and economics, law and ethics, and data-driven performance improvement.
The Healthcare Administration major will give Pre-DPT students a broad background in business and the health industry, focusing on the business aspects of healthcare and preparing students for leadership roles in the field. Besides meeting the program's objectives, this major will also prepare students for admission to the Entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy.
The Healthcare Administration minor is intended for those outside of the business major who have an interest in healthcare administration. The minor is 18 credits.
The Healthcare Leadership and Operations Certificate equips students with essential skills to guide their organization toward success through four core MBA-level courses. Upon completing this certificate, students will have practiced practical strategies to enhance their effectiveness in leading their organizations.

The MBA 5th-Year program is for eligible rising Misericordia University seniors who wish to begin their graduate business studies as an undergraduate student. Accepted students will take up to 12 MBA credits within their current program. An applicant may be required to complete leveling courses in business functional areas through Peregrine. The graduate admissions committee will determine if the leveling courses will be taken concurrently with MBA courses or completed prior to starting the MBA program.

Expressway Accelerated Degree Program
You can earn your Bachelor of Science in as little as 2 1/2 years by attending classes part-time. The convenient and predictable schedule allows you to take classes either once a week or online, up to 12 credits per semester. Courses are offered face-to-face in 5-week sessions at Luzerne County Community College on the Nanticoke Campus or online in 7 1/2 week sessions.
