Where can I get help in the labs?
Student Printing in public labs?
A: We have moved to be a more ecologically sound campus. By making everyone more conscious of paper consumption we hope to minimize waste and promote conservation. Students receive 300 sheets at no charge at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters. Any sheets remaining from the fall semester free quota will not carry over to the spring semester. Once a student runs out of their free quota they are required to purchase a minimum of 100 sheets for $3.00 to continue printing. Any purchased sheets will remain on the student's account until they are used. No refunds will be given for unused sheets.
Students using monochrome printers(black ink only) will have 1 sheet deducted from their available sheets.
A color laser printer is available on the 2nd floor of the library.
Students using the color printer will have 5 sheets deducted from their quota while printing in color and 3 for black ink only pages. Keep in mind that any color on a printed page will result in a 5 sheet reduction. A document that has both color and black ink only pages will be charged by the page. For example a 3 page document with color on one page and black ink only on the other 2 will cost the students 11 sheets (5+3+3).
Implemented in 2016: Students can print to any lab on campus from anywhere on campus.
For more information sign on to myMU and go to the Information Technology link under the Student Life tab. Then below IT Documents click on Printing FAQ (Saving Sheets).
