Mission, Ministry & Service
We do this by:
Educating our students on Christian values, morals, leadership and good decision making.
Liturgical Ministries
Nurturing and celebrating our faith through our spirit filled liturgies and prayer.
Spirituality and Faith Formation
Faith Formation - developing in our students practice of prayer and reflection to help them discern God’s call in their life.
Social Justice Advocacy
Fostering a passion for social justice issues that enable our students to be advocates on behalf of those who are poor and oppressed.
Service to Others
Empowering students to be leaders in ministry and service on campus and in the community.
Our Mission
Welcome! The Office for Mission, Ministry and Service at Misericordia University serves the Mission of the University by making visible and effective our Mercy Charisms and Catholic Tradition. We seek to respond to the Critical Concerns of the Sisters of Mercy through advocacy, education and action. We seek to reach out with love and respect to persons of all faiths and backgrounds and invite them to join us in our mission.
In keeping with the University Mission and tradition, all of the programs sponsored through this office directly correlate and express the founding Sisters of Mercy values and attitudes of Mercy, Service, Justice, and Hospitality.
* Special note: Any topics/issues that fall under the teachings of the Catholic Church are directed and supervised by the Office for Mission, Ministry and Service.
* Any other religious groups at the University are also under the direction and supervision of the Office for Mission, Ministry, and Service in consultation with the VP office of Mission Integration and Student Life.
