McAuley Market

McAuley Market On-Campus Food Bank

The Misericordia University Office of Mission Integration in collaboration with the Office of Student Life and the project team from the Staff Leadership Development Program, launched McAuley Market, a food pantry open to students, staff and faculty on the campus in Dallas, Pa.

The Market offers frozen food, pre-packaged meals, canned food, snacks, drinks, toiletries, and refrigerated items.

Channeling the tenets of Mercy, Service, Justice and Hospitality of the Sisters of Mercy who founded the campus in 1924, and their founder Catherine McAuley, the pantry was named McAuley Market and is located on the first floor hallway McAuley and Walsh Hall.

Snack stations are available periodically in 7 different locations around campus in various buildings. The snacks are there for any students to take.

Monday there is a fresh fruit and vegetable distribution on campus in the Banks center around noon time. This food is free to anyone who wishes it.

The market is open during the day from Monday to Friday from 8:45 am to 4:30 pm. Students just need to stop in the Office for Mission, Ministry, and Service and request the key. Online ordering is available: https://forms.gle/kqyLLGi5KUvgidTV6. Items that are offered include toiletries and non-perishable food items, such as peanut butter, pasta, rice, cereal, soups, canned vegetables, granola bars, nuts and other healthy snacks.
