How to Apply

APPLY TO MISERICORDIA UNIVERSITY HERE

Any student wishing to enroll at Misericordia must complete the free online application.

• Veteran, service member, or qualified family member-
  • Apply Here for the GI Bill^® and related benefits through the Department of Veterans Affairs
  • Complete the VA Form 22-1990. For Chapter 31, submit a copy of VA form 28-1905
    • Download the forms or complete them electronically through the VA website
• Transfer students- Complete VA form 22-1995
• Selected Reserve Individuals- Montgomery GI Bill^® Selected Reserve Eligibility and Application 

When received, students should submit a copy of the Certificate of Eligibility to the VA School Certifying Official (SCO). 

Each semester enrolled students will be sent a Veteran Benefits Request Form (VBRF) from the SCO. This must be completed and submitted in order to request certification of enrollment.

• Service Transcripts can be sent electronically via Joint Service Transcript, The Air Force University/CCAF or the AF Portal
  • Request Official Joint Services Transcript-  Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and Navy; Active Duty, Reserve, and Veterans
  • Air University/CCAF Transcript Request 
  • Air Force Transcript Request - AF Portal

• The American Council on Education (ACE) recommends college credit for military training and experience. Misericordia uses ACE recommendations for awarding college credit for students with military transcripts.

File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) 

Pennsylvania Residents- May 1st deadline each year for PA State Grant Eligibility

The FAFSA is used to determine federal and state financial aid including grants and loans. Misericordia offers need-based financial aid to students who file a FAFSA and demonstrate financial need.
