The Admissions Department is committed to providing each prospective student and their families with the best experience possible. We take a personal approach to our communication, and our professional staff is dedicated to making sure that each student receives the information needed to make a college decision.

Students at Misericordia University are assigned an advisor once accepted to the university. The Academic Advisors can help Veteran students register for classes. Advisors assist students meet university requirements to reach their educational and career goals. Students are required to meet with their academic advisor prior to enrolling in future semesters.

The Insalaco Center for Professional Development and Leadership is a comprehensive center that will assist the students and alumni of Misericordia University to assess, develop, and implement goals for the constantly evolving professional world by offering career development, professional development and leadership programming.

The CAPS Center offers support and counseling services appropriate to the students’ needs. Counselors are available to meet with students to explore a wide variety of issues.  The counseling staff is committed to helping students find appropriate and effective ways of managing their areas of concern.

Students can contact the CAPS Center at caps@misericordia.edu or 570-674-6408. The CAPS Center is located on the lower level of McGowan Hall, Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm. 

The Expressway Program It is designed for working adults who want to earn their degree in a timely manner, have prior college credits (not required), and have work or relevant life experience. Students have the ability to enroll and start taking classes 6 times during the year, not just in the fall and spring.

The Office of Mission, Ministry and Service at Misericordia University serves the Mission of the University by making visible and effective their Mercy Charisms and Catholic Tradition. They seek to respond to the Critical Concerns of the Sisters of Mercy through advocacy, education and action. Campus Ministry is located in the Banks Student Life Center.

The Student Success Center enhances learning through our collaborative, compassionate, and personalized approach. We seek to empower students through the development of academic and social skills, connection to resources, and the encouragement of self-efficacy. The SSC is located on the lower level of Alumnae/McGowan Hall.

Office for Students with Disabilities

The OSD is located in the Student Success Center, on the lower level of Alumnae Hall.

The Department of Veterans Affairs defines a School Certifying Official (SCO) as the individual assigned the authority of completing all paperwork necessary to certify the enrollment and changes in enrollment for students eligible for VA educational benefits at their college or university. The school certifying official does not determine eligibility for benefits nor do they have access to any student’s Department of Defense VA records.
