DALLAS, PA - Misericordia University's Pauly Friedman Art Gallery exhibits "The Other Side of Memory: Photographs by Luis C. Garza" through January 10, 2025.
This exhibition of silver gelatin prints from the largely unpublished archive of Luis C. Garza shows peace and justice movements in the 1970's from East Los Angeles to the South Bronx and beyond. Garza is represented in the Collections of the Sala de Arte Público Siqueiros, Mexico City, Mexico; Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Arkansas, and the Gilbert Cárdenas Family Collection, Austin, Texas.

The display of personal items from Misericordia University's time capsule buried in 1922, created by University Archivist Maureen Cech, celebrating 100 years of tradition and growth.
Another exhibit on display through January 10, 2025: "Windows of Mercy"
This display celebrates the works of artist and educator Sister Mary Benedicta San Antonio, RSM (1915-1998), who worked with the Baut Studios of Swoyersville to create the stained glass windows of the Blessed Sacrament Chapel at Mercy Center in Dallas, PA.
All exhibits and programs are free and open to the public. Gallery hours are as follows:
Tuesday - Thursday - Noon-7pm
Friday - Monday - Noon-4pm
