Creative Arts Camp Welcomes Deutsch Institute to Misericordia
DALLAS, Pa. – Misericordia University recently wrapped up another successful and enjoyable session of its long-running partnership with the Deutsch Institute, welcoming campers for the annual Celebration of the Arts camp.
The two-week camp focuses on providing participants with meaningful exposure to art, music, dance, and drama. Skilled facilitators share their expertise, guiding campers through hands-on activities in each discipline and encouraging creative expression.
The Deutsch Institute, founded in 1978 by Scranton-area volunteers, has been dedicated to making recreation and leisure accessible for people with disabilities. Its Verve Vertu Art Studio, opened in 2006, further expands this mission by celebrating the creative talents and diverse abilities of the community.
Misericordia University and the Deutsch Institute have partnered for more than 20 years to offer innovative, inclusive programs. Campers and staff are warmly welcomed on campus each camp season and throughout the year, strengthening a proud tradition of collaboration and community.
