Misericordia Players Performing “Wait Until Dark” this Fall

This fall, Misericordia Players is excited to perform “Wait Until Dark.” The play was written by Frederick Knott and is presented at Misericordia University with a special arrangement with Broadway Licensing.

Wait Until Dark Cast Practices For Upcoming Performance

The play follows a sinister con man and two ex-convicts who invade the Greenwich Village apartment of San Hendrix and his blind wife, Susy. With the help of a young neighbor, Susy must determine who is her friend and who means her harm. A deadly game of cat and mouse ensues between all involved, and Susy is at a significant disadvantage. However, when the lights go out, the playing field is evened. To see how this situation will resolve, one can only see themselves in the theater.

The play will occur November 16-18 at 7:30 p.m. and then again on November 19 at 2:00 p.m. in Lemmond Theater.

“I’m super excited to see how the audience reacts to the dynamics of our characters,” said Morgan Gayton, Social Media Coordinator for Misericordia Players. “It’s something we haven’t done in a very long time.”

General Admission to the play is $8 at the door and $3 for students with ID.

Scott Colin Woolnough, coordinator of the Alternative Learners Program and program director for Theatre at Misericordia University, is the director of this Misericordia Players production.
