Misericordia University Celebrates Earth Week with Sustainable Events

DALLAS, PA - Misericordia University marked Earth Week with a series of eco-friendly events aimed at raising awareness and encouraging sustainable living. The week kicked off on Monday, April 21, with a sustainable items giveaway in Banks Lobby, hosted by the MU Environmental Sustainability Committee.

On Tuesday, April 22, Blue Chip Animal Refuge held a Rescue Day on campus. Later in the week, the MU Eco Reps Club organized an Exotic Pets Day, providing an interactive experience for attendees to learn about responsible pet ownership.

The Eco Reps Club continued their efforts with a raffle fundraiser, raising money for future sustainability initiatives. A clothing swap was hosted on Banks Lawn, providing students with a chance to exchange gently used clothing.

The week concluded with a special viewing of a Disney environmental film at Archie's After-Hours on Friday evening, where attendees enjoyed pizza and snacks while watching the film.

These events highlighted Misericordia University's commitment to environmental sustainability and social responsibility.
