DALLAS, PA - Misericordia University's cheerleading team made history with a stellar performance at the 2025 College National Cheerleading Championship and the ICU (International Cheer Union) World Cup Championship, held January 17-19 in Orlando, Florida.

At the College National Championship, the Cougars earned third place in the Game Day Routine Division, marking the second-highest finish in program history. They also placed fifth in the Performance Routine Division, reaching the final round for the first time since 2019. The team's success didn't stop there. At the ICU World Cup Championship, Misericordia made an international impact by securing gold in the All Girl Game Day Division. Competing against elite teams from around the world, Misericordia took the top spot, surpassing competitors from Japan, Canada, and the United States.
