Misericordia University Community Supports Red Cross Blood Drive

DALLAS, PA — Misericordia University students, faculty, and staff teamed up with the American Red Cross for a fall blood drive held Wednesday, October 22, 2025, in Sandy and Marlene Insalaco Hall, Rooms 218 and 219. Thanks to the collaboration across campus, the event welcomed 55 donors, including 15 first-time donors, and resulted in the collection of 58 units of blood. Nineteen Type O donors contributed, providing especially critical blood products that are in high demand for hospitals and emergency care.

The strong turnout reflects Misericordia’s ongoing commitment to service and community health. Each unit collected will help patients in need across the region, demonstrating the powerful impact of campus-wide engagement in lifesaving initiatives.

Misericordia University and the American Red Cross extend their sincere thanks to everyone who donated, volunteered, and helped promote the drive. Planning is already underway for the next campus blood drive, scheduled for April 15, and organizers look forward to building on this momentum to continue supporting patients and families in need.
