DALLAS, PA - The Misericordia University Teacher Education Department recently inducted nine students and one faculty member into the Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education during a ceremony held recently in Mercy Hall Chapel. 

Founded in 1911, Kappa Delta Pi promotes excellence in education and fosters a community of educators dedicated to scholarship, leadership, and service. Membership is extended to teacher education majors in their junior or senior year who meet high academic standards and participate in professional and service activities. Eligible students must have a cumulative GPA of 3/4 or higher and have appeared on the dean's list at least twice. 

The 2025 student inductees are: Lauren Amend, Mountain Top, PA; Ashleigh Yedlock, Mountain Top, PA; Riley Danielewicz, Lebanon, PA; Avery Fortuner, Clifford Township, PA; Rayna Lymper, Cherry Hill, NJ; Colin Marshall, Dallas, PA; Benjamin Clendening, Langhorne, PA; Madison Tullo, Williston Park, NY; and Kaitlin Kisner, Ulster, PA. 

Dr. Tif Mulally, associate professor of education, was also inducted in recognition of her contributions to the field and support of aspiring educators.
