DALLAS, PA — Misericordia University President Daniel J. Myers has been recognized with a 2026 Association of Independent Colleges and Universities of Pennsylvania (AICUP) Comm Award for Distinguished Communicator in the category of Best Opinion for his piece, “The best-kept secret about the cost of higher education.”

The award honors President Myers’s leadership in advancing the conversation around the value and affordability of independent higher education in Pennsylvania. His opinion piece was selected for its clarity, insight, and effectiveness in challenging common misconceptions about the cost of private colleges and universities.
