Misericordia University Student Attends Family Service Association Family Week Conference
DALLAS, PA - Business Administration / Pre-Doctor of Therapy major Maya Landefeld attended the Family Service Association's Family Week Conference on November 8. The Insalaco Center for Professional Development and Leadership at MU encourages and supports students in expanding their learning beyond the classroom.
This year’s conference theme was 'Strengths Over Stigma: Cultivating Positive Minds and Strengthened Relationships.' The conference was presented by the Thalenfeld Family Charitable Trust in partnership with AllOne Charities.
Maya found sessions on topics such as the link between physical and mental health very relevant to her goal of becoming a physical therapist and helping others. Maya has hit the ground running at MU as a first-year and first-generation student. In addition to her academics and professional development pursuits, she is also is also a member of MU's inaugural Women's Wrestling Team.
