Misericordia University Students Shine at tecBRIDGE Business Plan Competition
DALLAS, PA - It was a standout evening for Misericordia University at the tecBRIDGE Business Plan Competition awards ceremony, with two student-led teams earning top honors in the collegiate division.
Isabella Gartner, a Misericordia student and founder of the Inside Outside App, was named a finalist for her innovative approach to supporting student-athletes' mental health and well-being. Her app aims to provide resources and community for athletes navigating the challenges of balancing academics and athletics.
Fellow student Hunter Wesolowski, co-founder of Hunting Positivity, an AI-powered social media platform promoting uplifting content, also advanced to the finals. Wesolowski and his co-founder tied for the Wild Card Award (People's Choice), securing $5,000 in funding to further develop their platform. Alyson Lenker, Nursing Manager at Misericordia University, is a member of the startup's management team.
The tecBRIDGE Business Plan Competition is one of the region's premier entrepreneurship contests, encouraging innovation among college students and local startups across Northeastern Pennsylvania.
