Misericordia University Unveils Enhanced Exercise Science Program Beginning Fall 2025

DALLAS, PA. – Misericordia University is proud to announce the launch of its newly updated Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science program, designed to deliver a comprehensive and student-centered educational experience entirely on campus starting in Fall 2025.

The updated curriculum blends rigorous classroom instruction with hands-on laboratory work and real-world field experiences, culminating in a required professional internship. All specialized Exercise Science courses will now be offered directly on the Misericordia campus, supported by new facilities including a dedicated fitness center, specialized labs, and instructional spaces.

“Misericordia University is thrilled to launch our revamped Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science program in Fall 2025,” said Dr. Lisa May Norton, Dean of the College of Health Sciences and Education. “This initiative reflects our commitment to student-centered innovation and regional workforce development. With exceptional faculty leadership—including our newly appointed Chair, Dr. Tiffany Mullaly—and upcoming brand-new facilities, we are creating an environment where students can thrive academically and professionally.”

The program is designed to prepare students for success in a variety of fields related to health, fitness, and human performance. It includes coursework that aligns with national credentialing opportunities.

“The program has been designed to empower students with the knowledge, skills, and professional behaviors necessary to excel in the diverse fields of health, fitness, and human performance,” said Tiffany Mullaly, Chair of the Exercise Science program and Assistant Professor. “Each part of the curriculum has been carefully developed to prepare students for key industry certifications, such as the ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist (ACSM-EP) and the NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA-CSCS), directly linking academic learning to professional credentialing and career readiness.”

The updated program is open to incoming first-year students beginning in Fall 2025. For more information, visit: www.misericordia.edu/health-science-exercise-science.
