DALLAS, PA — Misericordia University is pleased to announce the addition of two experienced advancement professionals to its University Advancement Division: Jane Kanyock, Director of Development, and Lynn Andres, Director of Alumni Relations.

Jane Kanyock brings more than 25 years of experience in development and philanthropy, with a career dedicated to advancing educational and healthcare initiatives that serve communities throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania. Prior to joining Misericordia University, Kanyock served as Director of Major Gifts for the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine and the Geisinger Health Foundation. Her professional background also includes leadership roles with Pocono Medical Center, Penn State Wilkes-Barre, Greater Hazleton Health Alliance, and MMI Preparatory School.

“I am excited to join Misericordia’s University Advancement team and this opportunity to support the Mercy charisms of mercy, service, justice, and hospitality while enhancing philanthropic investments to benefit and transform the education our students receive,” said Kanyock.

A lifelong resident of NEPA, Kanyock holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Wilkes University. She is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) through CFRE International. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys traveling, golf, pickleball, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and gardening.

Joining her in the University Advancement Division is Lynn Andres, who has been named Director of Alumni Relations. Andres brings more than 17 years of experience in higher education advancement and alumni engagement, grounded in mission-centered leadership and relationship-building. A proud alumna of The University of Scranton, she most recently served as Director of Parent and Family Engagement at her alma mater.

“I’m excited to join Misericordia University at a time of strong momentum and opportunity,” said Andres. “I look forward to building meaningful relationships with alumni, families, and friends in support of the University’s mission and future.”

Andres’ work is deeply influenced by Jesuit values and a commitment to accompanying alumni, families, and volunteers throughout their lifelong connection to their institution. She was drawn to Misericordia University by its charism of mercy and its dedication to service, justice, and hospitality.

Andres and her husband, Chris, reside in Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania, and are the proud parents of three sons—Christopher; Matthew and his wife, Kaitlyn; and Sean and his fiancée, Ally Fisher.

These appointments reflect Misericordia University’s continued commitment to strengthening relationships with alumni, donors, and community partners while advancing the University’s mission.
