Misericordia’s College of Business Granted Reaffirmation of Accreditation

Misericordia University’s College of Business was recently granted the Board of Commissioners of the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) reaffirmed specialized business accreditation for its undergraduate and graduate programs. The Accreditation Council for Higher Education (ACHE) nationally recognizes the IACBE as the leader in mission-driven and outcomes-based programmatic accreditation in business and management education.

Business programs formally accredited by IACBE include the Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management, Bachelor of Science in Sport Management, and Master of Business Administration.

“The faculty and administration at Misericordia University are proud to provide the high level, quality academics required by the IACBE for universities seeking accreditation,” stated James J. Pierson, J.D., CPA, dean of the College of Business. “In reviewing our business programs, the IACBE assesses not only our curriculum but also our faculty, opportunities, resources available to students, and the professional standards we teach our students as they prepare for their future careers.”

Founded in 1997, the IACBE is the leader in mission-driven and outcomes-based programmatic accreditation in business and business-related education for colleges, universities, and other higher education institutions whose primary purpose is excellence in teaching and learning.
