Misericordia’s Quinn Crispell Set for Sixth Annual 260+ Mile Run for Down Syndrome
First-year Misericordia University student Quinn Crispell will be part of a 30-member team on the National Down Syndrome Society’s (NDSS) 2023 Run for 3.21, Friday, March 17.
Crispell, a Swoyersville resident, is the only self-advocate on this year’s team and the first individual with Down syndrome to participate since 2018.
The three-day journey celebrates World Down Syndrome Day on 3/21 and help to raise funds, awareness, and acceptance for the Down syndrome community. To make a donation on Crispell’s behalf, please visit: https://give.ndss.org/Quinn321
“I am really excited to be able to participate in this awesome event,” said Crispell. “I have been training hard. I like to show everyone what individuals with Down syndrome can do.”
The event begins at the United Nations in New York City and will conclude with Crispell leading the team on the final leg to the United States Capitol building.
