Strong Turnout for Misericordia University’s Hometown Heroes Hockey Event 

DALLAS, PA - Misericordia University recently hosted its annual Hometown Heroes Hockey Event, bringing together community members to honor veterans, first responders, and service professionals whose dedication strengthens the region. The celebration took place at the Toyota SportsPlex and combined heartfelt tribute with community spirit, drawing a strong turnout from across Northeastern Pennsylvania.

The evening featured a moving pre-game ceremony recognizing hometown heroes before the puck drop, followed by a spirited hockey game that united supporters, families, and community partners.

Attendees also enjoyed complimentary food provided by Mission BBQ, vendor tables representing campus and community organizations, and opportunities to engage directly with honored service members and their families. 

The Hometown Heroes event underscored Misericordia University’s commitment to community engagement and gratitude for those who serve. Organizers thank everyone who attended, from the veterans and first responders being honored to the students, alumni, and community members whose presence made the night a success.
